Hello, I'm Mita Williams and please consider me an agent to call on if you have any questions or concerns about the Urgent Evoke Network.

Feel free to take some time to familiarize yourself with the site before you start tackling the missions and the quests. Evoke has a breadth and depth that can be overwhelming.

For those playing in groups, I'd strongly recommend that each other to your friends list.

Good luck! I wish you all the best
Hello agents,

am Oluka from Uganda. This season of Evoke has taught me among a few things how to be creative and use my imagination to overcome challenges. I hope to use this great mind of mine to tackle problems that may arise in my neighborhood.

I was suggested the Evoke admin incorporates a chat system on the site in season 2 so that agents can have a discussion if they are doing a mission as a group.

I was just thinking. Would it be great if we have as many high schools as possible playing the EVOKE game for the next episode. I think chengyuan High School was a perfect example of what collaboration and working together is all about.

This is what i am planning to do I think around 0.00001 % ( not reall statistics just meaning a small percentage)of my countries population had about the EVOKE game.I am thinking if i am able to send letters to as many schools as possible about the game it…

This game really broadens your thinking and it really takes you out there to the field and it teaches you or rather you learn alot of things that probably you would not have learnt in the school curriculum.
what do you guys think , who wants to do this also in there country???
Any person from africa who was committed enough to finish the game!!! would like to know you.tag:www.urgentevoke.com,2010-05-20:4871302:Topic:1537582010-05-20T16:24:44.070ZCrystal Bellarhttp://www.urgentevoke.com/profile/CrystalBellar

Now that the game is officially over, I'm curious about the secret missions...

1. Did everyone get one? Or was it just some people? (If so, which people?)

2. What were the different missions? I think I picked out three of them. One (the one I got and didn't do, for a variety of good reasons) was to find someone in the game you'd never talked to before, and whi was very different from you, geographically and culturally, to "friend", do a short interview with, and to promise to stay in touch with. Another was to find all the Evokations and make a list of them. And I think another might have been to make a personal video of your experience here.

Next time it would be great if the secret missions were things that everyone could find and do, and were discovered through actually playing the game (like an Easter egg), rather than something that was just emailed to us. And it would be great if we could have a choice of which one/s to do.
UBUNTUtag:www.urgentevoke.com,2010-05-18:4871302:Topic:1526442010-05-18T17:33:56.882ZCrystal Bellarhttp://www.urgentevoke.com/profile/CrystalBellar

i am a maintenance electrician in an industrial setting. what that means is that process operators call me when their automated equipment is not working, and i troubleshoot it and get it back online. for each call that i go to, i apply the same formula for solving the problem:

1. verify that there is actually a problem. sometimes nothing is broken, and in fact the problem is operator error.

2. isolate the problem. sometimes the symptoms of a problem aren't very helpful in identifying the cause. and sometimes the root of a problem can be 5 steps up or down the line from where the problem becomes apparent. sometimes figuring out what ISN'T broken is what leads to to what IS broken.

3. make the repair.

4. test the repair and verify that everything is working. make adjustments when necessary. sometimes this can be very time consuming.

5. put the equipment back into service.

i find this thought process to be pretty effective. i think it could be useful in solving many of the worlds problems, or at least in identifying the root cause of them.

so i am going to play the role of the operator, and you guys come and fix my machine.

i operate a country in africa, and my country is broken. the symptoms of my problems are widespread famine and sickness. please come and figure this out for me!

*ps, your operator is typically your best resource in helping you isolate the problem. ask lots of questions.

A preparatory overview of Season 1 for new/returning memberstag:www.urgentevoke.com,2010-05-14:4871302:Topic:1508022010-05-14T15:56:18.122ZCrystal Bellarhttp://www.urgentevoke.com/profile/CrystalBellar
New and returning participants for Season 2 (and those pondering joining the effort) should have a kind of recap/orientation piece which tries to pull up some of the best postings for each idea. This will serve a variety of purposes. For one it will show how high the bar can be for these responses, also it will be very informative and will leave anyone reviewing the examples with much more insight into those issues, and lastly it will help them to realize just what participating in this…

The idea of the week was nice but I think it would be great if we looked into having a number of ideas for each phase for each week. That way someone who was particularly interested in an area could explore it further with the recommended "must reads" right at the top.
Site Bugs - Mission/Quest Runes Missingtag:www.urgentevoke.com,2010-05-14:4871302:Topic:1507872010-05-14T15:12:04.942ZCrystal Bellarhttp://www.urgentevoke.com/profile/CrystalBellar
