Urgent Evoke

A crash course in changing the world.

I don't mean to be a negative nancy and come off as someone trying to hold back the sharing of knowledge and interaction, but there are several blogs I've viewed already, particularly some of the blogs of top agents on the leaderboard, that are exclusively copied and pasted from Wikipedia. If you are looking for proof to backup my claim, please just take a look at some of the top persons on the leaderboard with only Knowledge Share points, really. Not everyone up top is guilty, but some. =]

I'm all for more information circulating the EVOKE network, but I don't think it does anyone any good for people just to post different paragraphs from Wikipedia and not even make their own comments from them. It's OK to paraphrase and incorporate such information into one's own topic, but if I wanted to read the definition of AIDS and Tuberculosis, I could go to Wikipedia myself.

Just some food for thought. Are there any plans on making "Moderator Agents" present within the network? After all, without order, there is chaos.

Thanks for your time, everyone.

Looks like there is some action being taken on this in the background. It's difficult to draw the line I suppose, however, and with over 7000 members, being an admin around here must be a pretty busy job!
"Moderator Agents" is an appealing Idea, the member limit is 7200 something and still growing. We are bound to get out of context posts.
I can only imagine what a shock the EVOKE team is experiencing during this rapid growth phase. It's fantastic and shocking at the same time. I am, however, a strong proponent of some type of correction or system being implemented to handle this obstacle. I guess we'll just have to see. =]
Probably what Pathfinder means is that we must follow copy right rules in here and make proper references where we get the ideas.. But if someone agrees up on statements already written somewhere there is no guilt for using it unless the source is shown ..e.g: Integration is key for peace [Chambers 1997:30-32]
You mean this game isn't fair?
Keep in mind that we are soliciting ideas and inducing thought provoking discussions to stimulate someone's ideas. What appears in someones blog as mundane to you may prove to be very beneficial for someone else. I also think that it might be a bit harsh to refer to it as "spam". I attribute the word "spam" in an electronic forum to mean "unsolicited". In regards to a moderator, who is qualified to surpress or screen out the thoughts and ideas of someone's blog in a stimulating evolution like this?

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
