BOOK1: Evoke Reading Group (Proposal and This week's book)
I'd like to start a reading group here on Evoke.
I've got a shocking proposal: I propose that members of this group read books (dead tree or electronic formats, your choice...) and then discuss them.
Shocking, I know.
Fiction and non-fiction, just so long as someone considers that the book has something to do with Evoke.

In this what's-next business manifesto, "social entrepreneurs" Elkington and Hartigan run with a quote from playwright George Bernard Shaw: "The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man." Using that thesis, the authors argue that the best place to find tomorrow's revolutionary business models is on the unpredictable fringes of the mainstream market. OK, I'm in, and I see my library has Kevin's book.
Keep me posted if you decide to run an EVOKE RPG, Brian, although I suspect that could mean a bigger time commitment than I can give at this time. But I'd be curious to see it in action.

Howdy mate, I recommend your local library. On this public forum, I really cannot advocate blatant copyright infringment. (As that probably wouldn't get me power votes.)
To everyone, i'm extending our "deadline" by another week, considering the difficulty people seem to be having in finding the book. I may or may not choose someone else to choose a second book in parallel on the 13th, depending on how many people are reading this one. Please, let me know if you're reading the book.

Hi Everyone,
in lieu of the problem of getting the book, I called the publisher Harvard Business group today and asked if they could donate 12 damaged copies to our reading group. I sent them a email with links to the game, full bio on the game creator, and a link to our reading group. If they have the damaged copies, Ill pay for the postage and then get your address and send them out to you all. I only asked for 12 copies which will be distributed based on the greatest need.
As soon as I know anything Ill post it here.

Hi Kevin,
Thank you for sending this email. I forwarded your request to our fulfillment department. If we were to receive damaged copies from a return, we could probably send those to you. However, it was confirmed that there are no damaged copies of Power of Unreasonable People available at this time.
I couldn’t get permission to send free copies of our normal (non-damaged) stock to your club. Please let me know if you have any questions.

The meal
It is 7'oclock, I was late home from work due to an assignment that i wanted to get ahead on. By the time I get home I am feeling extremley tired and I cannot be bothered to make a proper meal.
