A crash course in changing the world.
Posts tagged BOOK1Good Morning Agents ... The book i choose to start isTitle: The power of unreasonable people : how social entrepreneurs create markets that change the world by John Elkington (Author), Pamela Hartigan (Author), Klaus Schwab (Foreword)the reason I choose this book is that it was published recently (so hopefully takes into the account the current economic reality's rather then looking at the subject from a pre crash view) and from the fact it contains a look at all the models of what can be done - as seen in this snippet from a MAazon review."This book lays out a classification of different kinds of social entrepreneurs, ranging from pure charity to pure business. This is the strongest element of the book, since other popular books have not explicitly discussed the fact that all are possible. The book also tries to provide case studies, and indeed I took notes of things to go look up further. However the case studies are to brief and scattered to really be useful. "

Is it too late to join the book club?
Also, would it be rude to make a suggestion? Just I'm in Australia so it seems to take a bit for books ordered online to arrive, so maybe you could nominate books 2 weeks in advance to give us a bit more time to track them down and have them shipped?
Anyways, I will look for The Power of Unreasonable People just because it does sound interesting to me.
I have already started my own blog entry about this book. I'm editing the blog entry as I make progress in the book.
