Great work Agent Brain (that has to be my favourite EVOKE Agent name so far by the way). I'm giving you +50 knowledge share for your initiative.

Jeff Brain said:Awesome. I was just at CUE, and spoke on Game Design in the classroom, ending with showing urgent evoke. Moments ago my middle school brand new lunch club, Dragons Evoke, began playing together. We'll have a dozen wonderful young people and a few teachers taking part together.
Thank you.

Hello everyone,
I am not a teacher, but I have an idea. For now I am calling it Conduit. The idea is to establish a network of teachers across the globe who will then connect their classrooms through teleconferencing equipment. The purposes vary - from changing the way language is taught in the US, to non-linguistic games that can be played with children who do not speak the same language, to providing technology to places that cannot afford it.
I'm going to be adding a thread and more posts about this, but I thought this would be a good place to feel out some preliminary interest.
I am going to need game designers, local experts, and technology buffs, but teachers and education experts who are willing to get involved will be the base and the most important part of getting this going.
I really feel like this could do some serious good. Ignorance is one of the major things we battle with EVOKE, and apathy is perhaps worse. By seeing and interacting with people across the world we create a connection. When that country appears on the news, it will not be faceless.
Anyway, let me know if this is the kind of thing the EVOKE teachers would like to pursue. Keep with the awesome.
[snip] There is also www.schoolsonline.org, run by Relief International.
[snip] It looks like the three are geared towards high school and middle school. Anyone know of something that does the same thing, but focuses on college students?
Has anyone participated in any of these programs?
I still think there is room for us in the sandbox, so to speak. I continue my research. ^_^
ninmah,
check out on Emily and how she works with an on-line community called rafi.ki.
