As I mentioned in my blog post here:
http://www.urgentevoke.com/profiles/blog/list?user=0z7skezorcdw0 , Venezuela is having an energy crisis right this minute. Not in 2020, right now. I thought I might start a discussion thread to brainstorm on the topic. I'd like help in gathering information, coming up with ideas, and trying to spark some actual, tangible real-life solutions that real-life Venezuelans can use to improve the energy situation that is even now starting to slow and harm their economy. If possible, the following things are needed. First, reports from actual people from Venezuela. The news over in America at least is, shockingly enough, America-centric. What is the government doing, what is it like living with the energy rationing? That will help with the second goal of gathering as much information on causes and conditions that need to be considered. What is being done already, are their special considerations to consider? For example, Venezuela and America are not on friendly terms. It would be quite dangerous for American citizens to go in, agent-style, to try and solve problems. But not everyone here is American, now are we? The third goal is trying to come up with solutions, on a citizen level, on a town level, on a country level. Solutions to help them through until the drought is over, and solutions to reduce energy insecurity for the long-term.
Any idea can be helpful, but the best ideas are the ones that are non-general, broken down into action plans involving resources and work needed. Let's educate ourselves. What's the average income in the capital? In the country? Where is the highest use coming from and can it be converted? Are there economic analysts that can be interviewed on the subject?
This thread is for free-form brainstorm and discussion, although the less "Yeah, we should do something" and the more "Here's this fact", the better. When a picture starts to come together, I will start organizing an entry on the wiki:
http://urgentevoke.wikia.com/wiki/Urgent_Evoke_Wiki . I would appreciate help with this. Preferably trained help. Correct me where I'm wrong, supply information I'm lacking.
