To me, it focuses on how people's perception and appreciation for time changes based on their character. Some people are more active: those who are metaphorically making the world turn and looking forward to tomorrow. They see the broader picture. Time is more fluid, something that can be mentally manipulated. We can cast our perception out a decade, imagine the world then, and reel ourselves back in, enlightened. There's a certain temporal plasticity. The second is passive: the people who can sit back and watch the days go by. If they aren't acting, aren't expanding, are simply stuck in their 'default', time is just tickmarks on a one way track.
To EVOKE, we need to be the former. We need to be the ones anticipating the future, looking forward, and calling people to action. The more connected we are, the faster we'll flow, but I think we'll be far more prepared to handle it. We're time travelers, imaginative warriors, people who can forecast and react to what hasn't even happened. We won't sit on the sidelines as the world oozes by; we'll fly.

I don't think Chelsea could have said it any better. To further extend on what she was saying, I think that it also applies to your wh*** frame of mind. You can choose who you are, you can control your own actions—you can choose how fast you want to go. There's a reason why we are all here. We've chosen to be here. And since we're evoking, the fact that we're all here is something really special.

"A fishing boat was docked in a tiny coastal village south of the border. An American tourist complimented the local fisherman on the quality of his fish and asked how long it took him to catch them. "Not very long", answered the fisherman. "Then why didn't you stay out longer and catch more?" asked the American. The man said that his small catch was enough for his family. The American asked, "What do you do with the rest of your time?" The fisherman replied, "I sleep late, play with my children, catch a few fish, and take a siesta with my wife. There are a few ways to approach this, and a simple google search unearthed at least two perspectives:
1) Life progresses at different speeds depending of who you are. Environment is important here, and for instance the difference in access to information and resourceful people can mean a lot if you want to do a project. The banal example could be: Getting water by turning a tap, or getting it by walking 1 hour to get to the nearest well. Water is the simple example - others could be access to information (library, a computer with internet connection), or even access to knowledge about what information IS out there which might be relevant for you. As Samuel Johnson famously said: "Knowledge is of two kinds. We know a subject ourselves, or we know where we can find information upon it." Your world moves at different speed depending on how resource ful you, and your network, is.
2) The earth movies physically at different speed in its rotation depending on where on the globe you are. This is a much less interesting solution, for me, but is true.

There are people who make things happen,those who wait for things to happen and those that watch things happen. The fisher man is one of those who wait for things to happen and to him the earth moves slowly. The earth speed for go-getters moves very fast becuase everyday is a new day for them.

It is only YOU that will determine the speed at which the earth moves. It's only YOU that will decide if the earth moves at all. We all can make a difference no matter who we are and where we are from. If there is any change whatsoever, it starts with YOU & ME. The earlier we come to terms with this, the better we are.
To EVOKE, we need to do something. TAKE STEPS that will move us in the right direction and make the world a better place.

I believe that the proverb refers to the speed and effectiveness of each of our actions. Think before you act and when you act ensure that your actions are meaningful.

People don't see things the same way. It depends on the persons attitude. Some may see a problem as a what it looks like (a problem) some may see it as an opportunity.

I quite like the idea of this proverb being all about being active in one's community and getting out there and, therefore, the Earth does seem to move quickly.
However, I also see this proverb discussing perspective and how everyone has a very different view from the person standing next to them. Whether it's a good thing that the Earth moves fast or not is entirely dependent on the individual. One may see that moving and being active like the American in the fisherman story as a good thing whilst others may not. From my perspective I don't see the American's way of doing things as something positive, because the fisherman already has all that he wants through his sustainable fishing. Why change something that is working for him and his family?
That is just one perspective on the proverb. I'm sure there are others.

I think it come down to how we live and were we are from, You look at one place here and another place there, They seem so far behind the rest of the world, in tech or health care or in still in war with it's self or they can't even feed there people anymore. When i see this saying it tell me that we have to help people get up to the speed, so the world can slow down and stop moving so fast.

To me it means that you can sit at the bench and watch what happens in the world by the side, basically you are being passive or you can decide to be active and participate so that you can have a say in what happens in the world. The person that you are will determinate if you are active or passive and I think the "earth" here stands for "life". Being active or passive will have an impact on your life and you will live your life according to who you decide to be: a passive or active person . To Evoke you have to participate and be active and your participation may change the course of your life and the lives of many other people.

I believe it is used to mean the fact that individuals parcieve situations differently under different circ**stances. as partains to evoke the individual mind in the invisible nature determines the tangible results we see every day. those who think positively and real fast will yield positive and fast results ant the reverse is also true. To ensure that you become a centre player in changing society you must learn to think fast, get involved and focus more on the future results. we can do nothing to change the past but we got plenty of time to change and determine the future
