Urgent Evoke

A crash course in changing the world.

So now that we are just (!!) Three days in the amount of information on here is huge.

It is really neat- but how to string the info together ? Tags are cool and great but if I want to read on climate change and food production that can lead to a bunch of different services. What I'm proposing is a either player standardized tag system or like was mentioned previously a wiki. I think by talking and communicating with eachother we can help string info together to do better research and focus and add more depth to our discussions.

I am looking to put a lot of information together on climate. And food production change. I think this will come is handy as the missions expand.

I would like posts to be tagged climatechange andor foodproduction .

What are you looking for? Do you have ideas to link and acc**late information here in a logical manner ?

Please forgive typos. I am on my cellphone.

This is a great idea and one to implement before the game gets any deeper. Thanks!
Taxonomy of tags is an age-old issue, and it is as important here as in every other social network which has had similar challenges.

Standardization of tags - well, I agree that proposing tags is a good idea. But there is no way that we can Force people to use certain tags. If some guy wants to tag his post about food security "foodsecurityisimportant" - who can stop him?

We need to focus on education. Searching for, finding, and showcasing the best practice. Make a video which explains the difference between "learn1" and "learning1" - why it's better to use either of them. The video can use humor, great illustrations, etc.

Apart from that, it's an issue of re-formatting things. Creating summaries; a blog post or wiki page can be about a certain theme/tag, and that blog post could simply contain a lot of useful quotes from different blog posts/etc on the site. There has been quite a few mentions of the EVOKE wiki here before, so I look forward to seeing how that wiki evolves :)

Unfortunately, there isnt a way - yet - for me to tag your works, even if we are friends. Too bad.
It might be interesting at that point to list features requests on the Wikia for the game, so that the site's managers know where to look to keep up with our needs !
I've added to the Collaboration Tools wiki page and created a project homepage for people interested in improving the community's collaboration.

I want to thank all of you for trying to establish a Standardized Tagging System two wh*** weeks ago.

I've tried to give it a new push now that I've cottoned onto it and it's only going to become more necessary - which I hope is okay with all of you:

Find and be found with StandardTags on the EVOKE Blog

StandardTag Directory on the EVOKE Wiki

The StandardTag Directory in particular contains pretty much just the initial examples you all added. I'm hoping that the blog post might help encourage the community to get behind them, start using this format wh***heartedly and to add to the directory.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions for additions / changes to the blog post, and if there is anything else I can do to help.

Cheers!
Okay - so I've just discovered the new Mediawiki - and have transferred everything across to there.

Apologies for being behind the times!

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
