Urgent Evoke

A crash course in changing the world.

There's a lot to say about mission five. Really really interesting stuff. But stuff that will not
count as evidence for the purpose of completing missions. Namely, the
philosophy of money.

I would love to make a few posts, sharing my knowledge of the philosophy of money (I'm a philosophy MA). But I won't
if my words are going to fall into a void. In my latest blog, I declare
that I will create a follow up post on really interesting contemporary
political philosophy that pertains to the philosophy of money.

I'm asking for support so that I may passionately move forward. Here's my
first short, easy to read post in the series - Western
Philosophy of Money

I fervently hope I can find the support to share more of my knowledge about the philosophy of money.

Links to other posts that describe the history of money, history of the
philosophy of money, or philosophy of money will be visited if you post
them here (at least by me).

[That's a good use for a discussion thread, right? Maybe I should expand: post links here that pertain to historical
and philosophical perspectives on any mission, and peeps will follow them

I'm definitely interested in reading what you have to say on the topic, but I'm a late starter so I'm busy trying to finish my evoke assignments. I'm going to friend you so that i can find you when I have the time to read your stuff. :)
so lets say that one day half the worlds population wakes up and says "i'm tired of working at mcdonald's. i want to become a doctor so that i can be more productive in society and earn way more money."
sounds great right? a world with 1 doctor for every 2 people? however, the world doesn't need, nor can it afford to employ that many doctors. on the day that all of these people becoome certified doctors, there are no jobs for most of them. the competition for the few job openings that there are becomes so fierce, that the doctors are now working for the same wage that they were getting at mcdonalds.

the world does not put dollar value on the importance or vastness of ones skills. it puts dollar value on how scarce or abundant those skills may be. for this reason, money is in fact the biggest detriment to society. for example, lets go back to the half of the population that wants to become doctors. there is no doubt that the people of the world would be better off if there was a 2:1 patient to doctor ratio. however, if there was suddenly mass enrollment in medical schools tomorrow, the doctors we currently have would probably do whatever they could to prevent these people from flooding the job market. money has conditioned people to protect scarcity in order to protect their own livelihood, even if it is a detriment to society.

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
