You are yourself, at the age of 100.
You are an elder of your community -- of your village, or your city, or your country, or your planet. What local secret will you pass on?
Remember, it's far in the future -- it's whatever year you will be 100 years old in. It's the year 2094 if you are 16 years old in the year 2010, or 2089 if you're twenty-one, or 2080 if you are thirty.
Many things in our world will change between now and then. Who knows what we will consider an "indigenous community" that far in the future?
"Indigenous" means "native to a land or region, particularly before contact with other cultures." Today, it mostly describes native people living in villages. But what will "indigenous" describe in the future?
Stretch your imagine as far as it can go. Will Cape Town and San Francisco be considered "indigenous cities" in the future -- and if so, compared to what? Will Italy and Brazil be "indigenous nations" -- and if so, what would that mean? Will Earth be an "indigenous planet"?
Imagine yourself at the age of 100, and write or record an urgent message to the world passing on YOUR elder's wisdom. What piece of wisdom about your local environment and eco-system will you want to help share with far-flung cultures, or future generations?
