A crash course in changing the world.

Eastgate Centre

This shopping and office centre uses passive cooling and heating systems designed around the same principles used in termite mounds. Continuous convection from chimneys and walkways draws hot air up and out, high heat capacity materials absorb this heat slowly during the day allowing them to keep it warm at night.

This building uses 1/10th of the energy that a comparably sized building would use.
