A crash course in changing the world.
The plan was one long, simple rectangle broken up by two 'cores' that organized the interior spaces. The one in the right is the 'light core' and was an extension of the porch into the house to provide light, air, and exterior living space. It also organizes the living room, dining room, and kitchen. On the left is the 'wet core', which contains all the mechanical systems in the building. On one face is the kitchen, on another is the bathroom, in the bedroom it contains the washer/dryer, and from the outside you can access the mechanical closet.
