As stated in the video you linked, "Money as Debt" (pt. 4, 3:44): "If it is the fundamental nature of the system that causes the problems, tinkering with the system cannot ever solve those problems."

Comment by Greg Stevenson on March 5, 2010 at 12:01am - One of the solutions in the video suggests an elimination of usury and to control the feedback loop solely through taxes. I only suggest that the robin hood tax is the start of that process. As to the risk, morality, efficiency of such monetary reform I am still making my mind up on.
