A crash course in changing the world.
For this mission I decided for a wooden cube which display some selected weather wisdoms- in German these colloquially are sometimes called 'Bauernregeln' (folk sayings).
Here I chose for example:
> On the front side of the cube you can see swallows. It's known that they hunt midges and they orientate on the flying height of the insects. Depending on that they fly high (=good weather) or low (=bad weather) to hunt.
> On the right side you can see a dung beetle. These animals only appear during periods of good weather. They have got a very sensitive nervous system and so they are very sensitive to changes in the weather, too.
> And on the top you see a notorious folk saying: "Morgenrot-Schlechtwetter droht; Abendrot-Gutwetterbot'.
Red Skies in the morning threaten with bad weather. Red Skies in the evening are a sign of fine weather. This is one of the best — known sayings about the weather. And in most cases this rule fits, especially if the expression “Red Skies means the intensive lighting of clouds by the setting or rising sun.
