Social innovation could be explained in many ways, however one of the simplest way i feel is by explaining the evidences of necessity which lead to such social innovations. Many a times simple ideas have turned complex situations into simpler ones, however using innovate methods, such approaches can be defined as social innovations esepcially when the innovation gets adopted by social system and difuses over a period of time.
