Instead of paying my parents for the gas and insurance that I usually pay for every month, I negotiated a deal with them. To make something I use everyday more efficient, I changed all of the light bulbs in my room to compact flourescent bulbs. Each one uses less energy than an incandescent light bulb, and saves an average of $30 worth of electricity in their life.
