Lalith Seneviratne created a generator that runs on biomass. It was his solution for families that were off the grid in Sri Lanka. Lalith had to rule out many solutions that are usually suggested because they did not stand up to the geography. The generators are low cost, high yeild and each one can power 60 homes. The generators are also easily constructed and maintained.

The low lights contradict how I am feeling inside. The biodegradable china flicks light as the candles dance and my smile only widens as he saunters into the room proudly holding a large serving dish like an old time waiter.
