Living in New York City, you can bet that there are a lot of restaurants both cheap and expensive that, at the end of the day, are bound to have leftover food that they won't be able to serve the next day. Many times I've seen these restaurants throw out bags upon bags of perfectly good food, leaving them on the curb outside of the restaurant for garbage trucks to pick up and haul off.
