Urban Resilience

In order to increase my city's capacity for the inevitable environmental and economic change I started new construction programs. In order to house more people, large apartment complexes were built. This put a lot of people at work which boosted the economy and also helped to invest in the future residents of the city. I wanted to make sure that there was enough space for everyone and that the population of the city did not become indolent and overly dense. I also wanted to ensure the good… Continue

Future of Money- Imagine

The future of money rests in the standardization of world currency. The world of 2010 hosted a world of independent currencies, and separate unstable financial systems. This new system would rely on cash/credit cards for all those completing basic registration. It would unify the world and be run under the United Nations. It would be easier to provide welfare for the impoverished peoples of the world if those people had the same currency as the privileged peoples of the world. Banking stations… Continue

ACT food security

I am becoming increasingly active with a food security group in my church that prepares and serves nutritious meals for homeless people in Hartford every week. Rather than typical unhealthy meals, I and other volunteers like to focus on making meals that will truly make tomorrow a healthier time. Hopefully, I can continue to participate in this program and take some satisfaction in increasing my own local food security.

Social Innovation Act

I have e-mailed links to my own family on some of the opportunities that Ashoka provides. I think this group is taking the most initiative to solve the world's problems as it is working in 60 countries and attacking social problems from every side, not singling out any one problem in particular. Also, it calls upon everyday people to volunteer, which will be necessary in the future, since one small group of people won't change the world by themselves.

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.

Where I will be in ten years.

Ten years from now I will be in a political job assisting with people in the midlands of South Carolina particularly the rural working class and farmers. As the class of people that feed the nation I find that it is imperative that we assist with making sure they produce as much food as possible. I would like to support local scientists as well that are leading in research on how to produce food more efficiently. I will also be participating in missions to foreign countries to help people with…See More

The secret was living on the water via boats common in many developing countries like Myanmar. This is a real Indian boat home made of wood and this provides a shelter for many peoples around the world.
