Dinner 2020: all from my own yard
My dinner in March 2020 will be pretty much like my dinner in 2010 -- a combination of things harvested from my own yard.
First, I'll go out into the garden and pick a big batch of kale that has overwintered, and cut some wild chives that are growing, on their own, throughout the grass in my yard. 2020: Caught up at work, with time for creative projects
In 2020, I'm still working at my current job, but I've got tenure now, so I don't have so much pressure to work all the time. My employees' jobs are also secure, so I don't have to work so hard to fund-raise to pay their salaries. I'm involved in great research and development projects, as usual, but not so many of them! Fourth of July on the Lake
This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development.The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The meal
It is 7'oclock, I was late home from work due to an assignment that i wanted to get ahead on. By the time I get home I am feeling extremley tired and I cannot be bothered to make a proper meal. I walk to the fridge and open it to see what there is for me to eat.
