The Future: Banks Need Not Apply

From the articles linked to in the prompt for the learn portion of the "Future of Money" mission I've grown interested by several of the ideas and theories presented. Of all these theories and ideas the one I think will make the biggest change in "how we use money in the future" is the "Future of Money" article from WIRED (found here: http://www.wired.com/magazine/2010/02/ff_futureofmoney/all/1 ).

Though during… Continue

A Possibility: The Present Future

For me, since I still don't really know what I'll be doing with my life, I decided to instead imagine a potential future. One I'd like, be satisfied with, and enjoy. If I was asked this question several years from now I'd probably be able to give a response that would fit much more fluidly with the prompt given.

However, I guess this will just have to do.

I imagine waking up in April 2020 - 10 years wiser both in mind and spirit. Those ten years would…

The Model Businessman or Woman

Two days ago in my history class I had to pick a person I felt represented a model businessman or woman for today in order to tie in business to my studies on the 1920s. After looking through some other businessmen I went with a person I had discussed briefly with a friend, Gary Vaynerchuk.

I went on his site, saw his TED talk, and read some other information about / from him online to prepare for my assignment on why I thought he was a model businessman and what made him a model… Continue

Shai Agassi: The Hero I Shadow

For the second objective in my my Social Innovation mission [for Urgent Evoke] in which I had to pick a hero who "[is] already tackling the world's biggest problems with creative solutions and entrepreneurial ventures." In direct accordance with that I decided to go with Shai Agassi and innovator I learned about through TED, a private nonprofit foundation best known for its conferences it holds all over the world, addressing a wide range of different issues.

Shai Agassi…

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
