What's for dinner?

Stew! A rich combination of pumpkin, sweet potato, rosemary and rabbit meat; washed down with a local Victorian red wine. Most of the ingredients were grown in my own yard according to the principles of permaculture. The wine is local and the glass bottle and metal twist top will be recycled.

The three ingredients for food security

Food security requires only 3 things

  1. Water management
  2. Soil management
  3. Seed management

I've been thinking a lot about social and economic collapse lately. It occured to me that one of those two situations will occur long before enviromental collapse.

That's a sad thought isn't… Continue

Listen to the Right People

It's impossible to find a good solution to a problem you don't understand. I think that the first place to start when looking for a solution is understanding the problem by listening to the people it impacts the most. The knowledge one gains creates a foundation for a solution to be built on.Listening to the right people also leads to understanding the circ***tances of the problem: what other social, cultural or political elements contribute to this problem? What has already been tried? Who…See More
