IMAGINE 3: Mother Earth's day 2020

Yesterday we celebrated mother's day in Jordan.... It is a great and heartwarming celebration in which we reassert our gratitude and humility to what our mom's did to make us who we are today...

Now it is the year 2020 and we are adding a new twist to our celebrations, we are also celebrating mother's day for our great mother Earth.... In 2015 we finally stopped the effects of global warming and now earth is celebrating 5 years of its new state of being able to sustain us…

Solar powered Laptop

I have just found a Jordanian company that produces Photovoltaic panels and systems.

http://www.philadelphia-solar.eu/philadelphia_solar_about.html

I shall contact them next week to investigate the price of buying a panel which they say produces 153 W/m2.. I only need 90 Watt max for my laptop. Moreover since the power is already DC, i will only need to connect a wire to the output…

Cold food at zero electricity

Check this out, these guys are working on developing a refrigerator that does not need electricity.

This could be a great venture for Africa especially in rural areas....

Get things done, that's the name of the game

I have been looking for someone to follow and establish as a hero since I started Evoke... there are so many out there and I stand humbled by all of you outstanding human beings... I particularly liked Sfricagadget and then went to check the blog of Erik Hersman, its founder at http://whiteafrican.com/... I have to admit that the get things done is by all means a credo. I highly respect his activities and his enduring effect and I sent him an email to…

Way to go on founding the Green Building Council. A huge percentage of wasted energy and fuel is from our homes and our workplaces. A little extra time and money during the planning stage can mean massive savings over the lifetime of a building. I applaud you for your efforts.

Sounds great Khaled! That is an amazing picture! I've always wanted to go diving. I also have a photoblog on the environment, you can see it here. Would you be interested in putting any pictures on it? I would love to see some of it on there. Great to here from you!

Welcome to Evoke Khaled. Feel free to browse my profile and ask me any questions you may have. I've never met someone from Jordan, and it would be excellent to hear how you are Evoking. - James

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

I walk to the fridge and open it to see what there is for me to eat. All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
