I live in Alameda CA which is a hop, skip and a jump from Oakland CA. In just driving to the freeway from Alameda I always see homeless people asking for money or begging for the purchase of something to eat. When I see homeless people it rips me apart inside and makes me so sad but it also makes me extremely grateful for the lifestyle that I have been given by my parents and how lucky I am to have a home and food. The hero that I decided to follow is Blake Mycoskie who is the founder of the company Toms Shoes. Mycoskie began this company in 2006 and over the past couple years the company has become a huge success. Toms Shoes is a company where when a consumer buys a pair of Toms Shoes a child will go to a child in need. They also give the child a new pair of shoes every month as well. After reading the 33 secrets of social innovation this secret stuck out to me the most. " innovation (often) comes from constraint (If you’ve got very few resources, you’re forced to be very creative in using and reusing them.)" Without creativity we truly have nothing. Creativity I believe is one of the most important aspects to have especially if one day we come across these serious life threatening problems. Creativity is key in our world.

In the year 2020 I will be eatting dinner with my family, my husband and hopefully my kids and my parents. Over the past decade I decided that I wanted to start my own fresh garden or fruits and veggies. When I was younger I was not much of a "hands on" person, I did not like dirt or nature but I love it now.
