Act3: A Door to Green Energy

We use doors all the time. They're on buildings, cars, and even refrigerators. We may think nothing of doors as we push them aside, however, we should stop and consider doors as a way to gather electricity. By placing a simple generator on the hinges of commonly used doors, we make a lot of power. Imagine a busy mall; customers constantly come in and out as they finish their shopping. Each time they pushed on a door, they would create a small electric current. All of these pushes would… Continue

Learn2: Missouri Food Banks

Although Missouri is the gateway to the west; one of the biggest corn producers in the world, we still cannot meet all of our food needs. Because of job loss and the damaged economy, many food banks in Missouri are becoming overwhelmed. Families that used to be able to support themselves are no longer able to put food on the table. Two thousand new families recently started coming to the food pantry in Boone County. These people have never needed food assistance before.

Imagine4: Water Day

The average American soaks up about 1,189 gallons of water a day. When I read this fact I thought, Surely I can't use that much water! In order to test myself, I tried the water calculator web site. The calculator asked questions about my life style, then tallied up how much water I use. Once all of my data was imputed, I was shocked to find that on an average day, I use near 1,300 gallons! I realized that without the water… Continue

ACT4: Making a Water Alliance

The sun had finally set, and our plane came down over the runway. We all hastily exited the plane that we had been sitting in for the past twelve hours. As we entered the air port, we were greeted by a wave of heat. My group sat down and we all started to fill out our forms. When we had answered all of the questions asked by the customs officer, he told us, "Welcome to India."

My school trip to India was an amazing, eye opening experience. We drove through the…

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development.The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
