I'm in Wisconsin, USA. We get some tornadoes here, not as bad as some further south, but a few every year. Sever weather could be tracked and tweeted, collected, disseminated and stored.

We also get a reasonable amount of flooding, which could be dealt with similarly.

Currency around the house

My fiancee and I are trying out an alternative currency to keep track of our chores and divide the labor. At the end of the week we can 'bank' our notes or 'buy' them out of the system with US dollars so we don't have deal with inflation. The money has to first buy supplies, so basically if you don't supply a good or a service (working around the house, dinner, dishes, etc.) you'll wind up buying the cleaning supplies and possibly paying the other person (a pittance, it's mostly a symbolic… Continue

"The End of Money...

...and the Future of Civilization", by Thomas Greco, Jr. is a fantastic book. Within its 200 some pages you'll find both the problems to our modern money system and Greco's proposed solution(s) which is primarily the idea of mutual credit, or credit clearing - where we generate the money in the system with the goods and services that we provide to the system, and investment occurs as a… Continue

2020: Water awareness day

World water day 2020 celebrates the third anniversary of the entire world having access to clean water. Melting polar ice has led to higher sea levels, but this has offset the slowly increasing levels of salt from desalinization plants around the globe. Utilizing an efficient black water purification system, grey water irrigation, natural filtration, widespread distillation technology and solar purification coupled with a widespread water awareness and conservation ideology - less is… Continue

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development.The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
