EVOKE Manifesto

Really renew it!

Evoke Season 1 (as well as 2 and 3) meant to tackle a variety of social problems. What I think should be considered for a further episode is transportation. This has a lot to do with the environmental and urbanity topics. People have to come from A to B also in 30 years time. One could either find ways to make transportation less necessary (for example via new technologies / ways of distributing goods) or make transportation easier and less dangerous for the environment.

Ex ante risk

My favorite secret about crisis management is “covering risk”. I think it’s because I’m studying economics and handle some kind of risk in everything I do.

A big problem in economics as well as in crisis management is that people do not know the probabilities ob an event. This is why they, on the one hand buy expensive insurance against obscure unrealistic events – and on the other hand start to panic when there is some kind of crisis. Or to cut it short, people are not rational.…
