EVOKE is an organization EVOKEing change all around the world. It helps educate and instruct people on the problems happening around the globe. The Urgent Evoke goal is to change the world one person at a time by connecting change agents around the world. It works by doing challenges every week and doing change in the outside world. It could be anything from volunteering in a soup kitchen or donating money to a charity. The evoke agents have influenced many lives for the better. The members of Evoke are people who want to change to world by connecting with other people who also want to create change. The ethics of being a good evoke agent are honesty, charity, and compassion. Evoke likes to use mystery and spectacle to create curiosity. Curiosity helps people to dig deeper into the truth. When people try to search for the truth, they are creating a conversation about change. The conversation isa the most important part apart from the action.

These two groups of people would have to work together to effectively translate information into language that people would understand. The PR team would tackle social media releases, press releases, and media coverage. I would want the doctors to log onto one system to release information to other doctors. The PR department working with the doctors would release info to the public. The heroic effort they are tacking is releasing illness information to the public. This team address pandemic situations in America. I think the business sector should get involved in the release of pandemic information. I want them to create a safe truthful way to pass information to the general public.
My Future Wisdomtag:www.urgentevoke.com,2014-02-20:4871302:BlogPost:2873192014-02-20T00:00:00.000ZKendall Tonyanhttp://www.urgentevoke.com/profile/KendallTonyan

Change is a crazy concept that overcomes our life. I my life I have seen the evolution of the internet and the electronic age. I was born in a time where computers and cellphones were not necessary. Technology is a wonderful invention, but do not forget about your relationships. You can change people's lives by helping, listening, or interacting even on a small level. Do not get caught up in the information. Learn how to balance technology and real life relationships. Relationships are all we have. At 100 years old, I see how important family and friends are. Hold on to what makes you happy and let go of the things that don't. I want to pass on the knowledge of save for the future. Do not waste anything because resources are important and sparse. Waste is something that can hurt future generations. I would say try to look toward the future to see what life could be tomorrow with changes today.
Crazy Breaking Newstag:www.urgentevoke.com,2014-02-19:4871302:BlogPost:2871352014-02-19T18:12:42.000ZKendall Tonyanhttp://www.urgentevoke.com/profile/KendallTonyan

They produced change by making three people in charge of project management instead of the usual one. Creating more training opportunities, the project makes people discuss issues and improvements. The program focuses on community training to increase the use of technology, develop capacities in the community, and integrate all community members into industry. There was a huge impact in the attitudes between community leaders and the government. The communities changed the most with the involvement of multidisciplinary teams in the identification, formulation, and implementation of community based projects.
How do people react in a Pandemic?tag:www.urgentevoke.com,2014-02-19:4871302:BlogPost:2872772014-02-19T01:00:00.000ZKendall Tonyanhttp://www.urgentevoke.com/profile/KendallTonyan

People who panic do themselves harm, but people in denial don't accomplish anything. The five principles against denial are legitimize fear, things to do, things to decide, love, and hate. These precautions help people from creating problems in the future.
Ushahidi for Hurricane Releiftag:www.urgentevoke.com,2014-02-19:4871302:BlogPost:2872172014-02-19T00:28:50.000ZKendall Tonyanhttp://www.urgentevoke.com/profile/KendallTonyan

At first it was an organization to work against the government, but it turned into a way for the "pavement dwellers" to work with the government. It helps the homeless make claim to vacant land and get homeless into their own homes. Now it is a network of poor women that manage money and savings to help "pavement dwellers." This network could revolutionize the world economy of the poor. It creates credit for extremely poor people. This large figure include children, working people, and college students. 1 in every 2 children need some kind of federal food assistance. Even in Gainesville, the public schools fund at least 80% of the students' lunches either partially or all of it. The documentary featured three people's stories and countless other examples. One single mom who wants to save up to go to college, but cannot even afford groceries for a whole month. A young student Rosie who never knows where her next meal is coming from. She relies on the charity of fellow friends and neighbors. They also featured a second grader with health problems that are increased by the non-nutricous food her parents can afford. The documentary opened my eyes to the problems in my own society. I have never had to worry about where my next meal came from or if I could afford my food. It surprised me that it is such a problem here in American because I thought of it as a problem in other countries.
Food by 2100tag:www.urgentevoke.com,2014-02-18:4871302:BlogPost:2870382014-02-18T20:18:01.000ZKendall Tonyanhttp://www.urgentevoke.com/profile/KendallTonyan

By 2100, there could be food shortages because of the change in global climate. It could seriously alter food crops in the tropics and subtropics in the coming years. Inventors should start to develop ways for crops that can withstand harsher hot temperatures. This can lead to greater food insecurity in some of the poorest part of the world including Africa and Central America. In the future weather could cut crop growth of maize and rice. There are 3 billion people that live in the tropics and subtropics and most of the live on $2 or less per day. Most people in these regions depend on farming for their livelihood.

Food insecurity affects many countries including the United States. Food insecurity can stunt growth and create chronic deficiencies. In 1996, the World Summit on Food Security was held to discuss global problems of lack of food resources and widespread malnutrition. They set up a plan to decrease the amount of malnourished people by 50%. Another Summit was held in 2009. The main problems facing food security is availability, access, utilization, and stability.Food security will continue to be a problem without help from other people.
Social Innovation: News for Todaytag:www.urgentevoke.com,2014-02-18:4871302:BlogPost:2870342014-02-18T19:55:29.000ZKendall Tonyanhttp://www.urgentevoke.com/profile/KendallTonyan

Social media can inform people about innovation through twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and many other blogs and websites. Today there was an article released February 18th, 2014 talking about a Social Innovation Forum tomorrow in Istanbul. This forum brings together local and global businesses to talk about global and urban change. The main innovation that is being proposed in a Smart Cities. A smart city "will nvolves significant infrastructural changes, including the advancement of networks, machine-to-machine (M2M) communications, sensors and other processors that lead to convergence of commercial technologies and synergy of functionalities." Smart cities will help the create more efficient and streamline societies.

To act on social innovation, I read the article on Istanbul's Social Innovation Forum and subscribed to google alerts via email that will tell me about new social change around the globe. These will keep me up-to-date with the changes in the world. Innovation is an integral part of today's society and being informed about it is so important.

Change and innovation will keep developing as long as globally we keep the change conversation going.

People, definitely including me, need to step away from being so serious and have fun with life. Social change can be brought about from any person. All people including children have the means to create change and innovation by simply thinking out of the box. Thinking like a child can help people break out from the norm.

I also liked "Problems are not always obvious from afar." I feel people need to be immersed in a society to know what problems need to be fixed and how to fix those problems. It could be a simple fix that no one outside the community would have come up with. It is important to understand the culture before "fixing" a problem. Culture plays an important role in what can fix a problem. Something that would work in America may not work in rural Africa. There are many differences and you cannot solve a problem in America like a problem in Africa.

The secrets of social innovation in Exhibit A was very interesting and is a great guide to how to approach solving problems in an society. Social Innovation is hard to implement, but having tools to guide the implementation may help social innovators.
