Its been 10years since the first ever World Cup to be hosted in Africa, and more specifically in South Africa, 10years ago i couldn't imagine a future this vibrant and bright. My generation is the now movers and shakers. Through the past we have adopted the strategy of each one teaching one, we are owners of our own companies and employing scores and scores of the youth. This has obviously been possible also with the help of the government through youth and skills development agencies whereby corporate and private companies get incentives in employing the youth.

The world cup stimulated the economy and us as the young people continued the momentum and by learning to be entrepreneurial. The west has also addressed the injustice it has served Africa, and doing right by investing more in Africa more than ever, the days of Africans living way below the poverty line are becoming a thing of the past, people are less ignorant and can pick leaders that are not corrupt, thanks to educational initiatives, and also because its been 26 years since South Africa had introduced free education to government school pupils. AIDS is also an issue of the past in the country i live in, the South African population has started seeing a better future, therefore self preservation is the buzz attitude.

Its beautiful living in South Africa, the hills are still green, the rivers are still flowing endlessly, people are still smiling, Africa is once again alive with possibilities.....
my herotag:www.urgentevoke.com,2010-03-15:4871302:BlogPost:367322010-03-15T13:39:22.000ZThabisohttp://www.urgentevoke.com/profile/Thabiso

Innovation (often) comes from constraint (If you’ve got very few resources, you’re forced to be very creative in using and reusing them.) this is true, more especially in Africa, where most don't have much, but it the west also needs to invest more in the region in terms of technological improvements and more skills development and training.
