lets put this in prospective. in my country (South Africa) there are currently between 43-50 million people, this is a large number in any perspective, but let me shock you now. in lectures today i learned a shocking truth! of the vast amount of people we have only around 11% of people who own a computer and around 10.5% who access the internet. this is scary simply because we take something like this for granted! we dont think about how privalleged…

its even scary to have learned that of the people who are studying at Rhodes University some only saw a computer and used one for the first time when they got there... so i'

ll pose this question again! how lucky are we? lets not take things for granted but rather appreciate what we have and try to make our difference in the world no matter how small or big it is....
read this ladies and gentlemen!
two years ago i attended a summer camp which had the theme of: what love will do... yes it was a christian camp but i think we could relate the theme to what all of us who are evoking are trying to do. if we didnt care we wouldnt be here, if we didn't have a passion for what we were doing, we wouldn't be here. but most importantly if we didn't love we wouldn't be here. WHAT LOVE WILL DO! all 7000 evoke agents are doing what they…

so the year is 2020 and much has changed since 2010. 10 whole years have passed since i signed up to become a social inovator and the question of what have i done?, arises. this year, 2020, is a year where all people are needed to tackle social problems in tokyo and the rest of the world. fortunatly for me becoming a chartered accountant as well as becoming an evoke agent, i took it upon myself to teach people when they were growing up of their part in society.

the improved education and literacy rates that my funding and evokation had brought about had enabled many people to attend tertiary institutions so that one day, like this day, they my be there to lend a helping hand for the generations of tomorrow. yes, my evokation has not been around for long but the results are there. proof that my literacy and education program has had a significant impact in peoples lives is a steady sign that more is yet to come.

instead of me simply being ready to tackle the problems of today and those of tomorrow, i have mentored students in such a way that they also play a key role, therefore strengthening the society of tommorow.

by doing this i have tackled tomorrows problems today and the world will see a brighter future than once laid out before us. the question that remains, is 2020 my year, you year, or our year?
(learn1) What it really means to be a social innovatortag:www.urgentevoke.com,2010-03-03:4871302:BlogPost:78292010-03-03T11:30:00.000ZShaun Estmenthttp://www.urgentevoke.com/profile/ShaunEstment

my favourite secret which i learned from the evidence was that you have to understand.

to simply say you have to be creative, innovative and all the other things isn't where you should start. sure they do play important parts of the process but without understandability, these things cant take place.

to understand you have to talk, listen, and observe.…

to simply say you have to be creative, innovative and all the other things isn't where you should start. sure they do play important parts of the process but without understandability, these things cant take place.

to understand you have to talk, listen, and observe. You have to have to have full understanding before you can make a solution. there is a lot of evidence to support this, for example. Donald Trump will not simply invest in multi-million dollar projects without fully understanding what hes investing in, what his returns will be and what the project is going to look like, to name but a few.

the above example can be related to a social innovator. how can one simply be a social innovator without understanding what actually needs to be done. they wouldn't just be able to simply act and solve major problems without good understandability of the situation.

to understand would help you change the world by actually knowing what needs to be done and what should be done. understand what the people need so that you can help provide it. too often people react without fully understanding and this leads to further problems or temporary solutions. if people took the time to understand the world would be a different place.

therefore my favourite and most important secret would be to understand. without it you can not act properly. all other things would take place once you understand.
