A Hero to Shadow

I choose Didit Adidananta as my hero because he is helping street children develop viable futures. He is Indonesian. He was a founder of a progressive student group and he stimulated active discussions on various social issues. He was tired to work with street prostitutes at first, but he discovered that it would be very hard to succeed with the group. Also that the growing population of street children needed more immediate attention. He is still working it.

The problem that he has is…

LEARN3: Who else is inventing creative, sustainable ways to power our everyday lives? Blog Post

The guy that I want to talk about is Mathias Craig. Now, 5 million inhabitants didn't have access to electricity for technology to promote health, education and economic. He found an organisation called blue energy that provides low cost sustainable energy needs for Nicaragua. This is a non profit organisation. Craig always discussed about how to bring both the technology and training to the rural areas. This project didn't focus on diesel generators, they focus on wind energy for the…

Learn-2: What's the biggest food security challenge near you?

In my country which is Indonesia, there's some issue that may bother the food security. For example, Pest. Pest in Indonesia is not really threatening the farmer but we still need to be careful of that animals. The second issue is flood. I think floods is really dangerous because flood can make the crops die from too much water. That's really bad because it can affect other people. So the solution is that people need to stop throwing trash to the river and the government must expand the size…

ACT2:Increase the food security of at least one person in your community Blog Post

Before I do this mission or even before I know Urgent Evoke, my grandmother have a mini home garden infront of my house. I never helped my grandmother on gardening before, so I decided to help her gardening by pouring some water to the plants and also cut plants that are parasitic. After I asked my grandmother a few questions about the garden, I found out that my grandmother did actually grow lemons and oranges. From this, I may asked a few of them to give to the local villages that can't…

Food Security

The food securty in Indonesia was caused because of the government. Normally government collects tax to make the country develop and to solve the problems that are happening in the country. But in Indonesia, many government are using the tax for private things. They aren't using the tax for the country to develop or help the poor people. poor people needs help to get out off poverty or else it will be very hard for them. If they dont have enough money, they cant eat. It will affect their…

Increase The Food Security Of At Least One Person In Your Community

First I will make group of people that are interested in this kind of topic and then research more about this topic. Then we will make a website about this topic and then if someone needs help, we will go and make some gardens and teach them how to cook the vegetables or how to eat fruits. If they get more than enough food for them. I will ask them to sell some food and tell them to earn their own money for their family, so they can give the garden to the next generation.

Act-Food Security

I want to help people who start their own garden, but before that, I have to learn about garden and how to plant exactly. If I don't know anything to plant, it's difficult to help people who start their own garden. I need to step forward myself at a local community garden to learn them. I can learn from people who has plant many things for many years and ask that I don't know there. If I wanted to do something for the community to share food, I will buy a garden, but garden is very expensive…

Today, I'm graduated from University in Indonesia and my family went to my school and join my graduation day. I'm really excited, because I have worked really hard in University and I'm really tired of four years non-stop studying. After the graduation, we went to a restaurant in Jakarta to celebrate and eat dinner. In the restaurant, I'm having a chicken salad, spaghetti and meat pizza. I heard that the vegetables is grow by the worker in the restaurant, not from vegetable market, so it's…

In the Internet, I found that there are many people that don't have any money to buy food or grow their own vegetables. I really want to help them, so I keep thinking of what can I do to help them. Then, I found a solution that maybe really useful for me to help them and for them to get food to eat. My solution is to meet with my friends and together we learn how to grow vegetables on the farm. After three months of learning, I know almost all the thing about growing vegetable. Then, my next…

Increasing the food security of at least one person in my community.

To help at least one people first, I will search for a place that are most undeveloped. Afterward I am going to interview the villagers. I am going to find about their occupation and know how much they earn every month or week. After knowing their situation I am going to find any free area for planting fruits and vegetable. I am going to go to that place every month with a brand new seeds.

Act-2: Increase the food security of at least one person in your community.

So to increase food security starting a home garden I think it's a good idea because, when there's a disaster or something that can affect you can just eat something from your own garden. To start a home garden you don't really need a big area. the only thing you need is the seed that most likely will grow in your area. Maybe you could help other people by growing different crops so in the ends you can just share what you get and get a better quality and quantity.

Act for Food Security

The big plan: I'll probably do some research about where are the world's most undeveloped countries living now and gather lots of people to help. After finding the location, I would first like to search for a empty field and fertilize the soil so it will fertile for the plants to grow. Next step I will do is, plant all possible vegetables, fruits and herbals for the communities who live there.

If it happens near me: what I will do is... Gather…

Increase The Food Security Of At Least One Person In Your Community

I would do research about where in Indonesia have problem but I first I would make a group project so some people can help me out doing this project. When I find a place that has problem about food security, I would contact the person and go there. If the person allows me to help then I will find an big area to start to make garden full of vegetables, fruits, and etc. Also I have to first teach them how to plant so they can do it by themselves too.

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
