I have chosen 'Jagdish Ramakrishnan' as my hero, he is the president of ACRES and is one of the founding members as well. ACRES stands for 'Animal Concern Research & Education Society. I have chosen him as my hero among the other ACRES executive committee because he has lots of experiences and received lots of awards from those experience.

My Hero

I chose Hamzah Harun Al'Rasyid as my hero. Hamzah Harun Al'Rasyid was born in Jakarta in 1962. When he was a child he learned from his mother, a religious instructor, that those who help the poor are forever blessed. He studied about agriculture in University but soon turned to economics and management. He trained at the Entrepreneurship College in Jakarta. In 1989, he graduated from college and he got a job working in the slum of Luar Batang, near Jakarta’s harbor. He set up kindergartens,…

Save water, save the world!

My first step to make difference is by tell my friends and people near me that water is really important for daily needs. More than billion people can't access to clean drinking water. Almost everyday children are dying because of it. Which is why I'm going to tell them the first move that they can change those problems. I created a poster that said "2.5 billion people worldwide do not have access to clean water. Mostly, 5 billion children are die causes of water illness. We can take the…

Water Crisis

My favorite, awe-inspiring clean water project is water1st.org. Their solutions are really the main problems for those who can't afford clean water. The main problem means that if we solve it, it can change lots of things that makes big difference. The biggest problem that they face is that water. They have to walk a long to get water, but that water is not clean which means that its already contaminated. One of my favorite solution is water integrated with toilets and hygiene education.…

My Life in 2020

By 2020, I'll be in University in the State or I might be working already. Well I'm not sure yet, but let's just say that I'm still in University while taking part time job. By that time, I'll be taking the Architect Majors.

But in the future, I will like to join a Organization or probably make my own. The kind of of Organization I will like to have is where people will be helping other people who are living in a undeveloped countries. Giving them shelters, supplies, books and…

Mission Eight - ACT

Although they are not truly indigenous, I choose to keep a Gullah secret for my project. The Gullah are not native to the United States. Rather, they are a distinctive group of African-Americans that were brought to the southeastern United States as slaves. Today, the Gullah live mainly in small farming and fishing communities along the southeastern Atlantic coast and on a chain of Sea Islands that runs parallel to the coast. Although many Gullah families have moved to cities, like New York…

Make It Inexpensive

Making the cost of everything would be better for the world and also mostly to Africa. It would be better for me and everyone in this world. Every single day people die because they don't have money to buy food, drinks and etc but its not only just that. Africa have more situation than any other countries but it still also causes other countries too. In Africa some people don't have money to eat or drinks so mostly people in there get famine. Mostly in Africa there are not much jobs so…

Provide skills, not just finished technologies.

I chose this secret because; if you give the finished technologies the people who is using will just use and they will not be bothered to make and any. The technology that they are using will eventually break or will be damaged, if the technology break down they won't know how to fix it. If they don't make anything their skills will never improve. In the other way if we teach them how to make and improve their skills they are going to fix the technology that they have used before and maybe…

Innovation in Africa tips

Can you live by only using $2 a day? Trying to live by only using $2 a day is really hard and frustrating, despite people in Africa still living more or less $2 a day. It is crazy, simply, we cant do anything like our normal life. We cant eat as much as we normally do, we cant go to the place when we want to or else we have to walk really far distance. We cant go to the hospital when we want to if we're sick and they all are suffering from the limited things that they can…

Social Innovation

My most interesting topic was "Try living for a week on $2 a day" because it is not possible to live a week on $2 a day. If we play with friends we usually use more than $2. We eat, buy, and we waste some money to buy stuffs. If we eat it with friends or by my self it cost more than $2 because now days, the foods in restaurants are very expensive. If other people try to live a week on $2 a day, they will save their money and not waste it. They will feel bad on wasting a lot of money on them…

I have chose 'Think like a child' as the most important secret because children have no limit to their thinking. Children are young they have full of imagination they like to try new things they are full of curiosity. They also doesn't really have fixed ideas because they haven't learn as much as an adult or student who have learned and studied.

Therefore they don't really have fixed ideas of this world or way to solve a problem they might have different…

Providing Skills are Better than Giving Finished Technologies

I think that providing skill is better than just giving finished technology, because finished technology is finished and the function can't be develop or expand more. Finished technology cannot last long, sometimes it will not functioning or even breaks, then they will just need to try to fix it or they can only throw the product away. In other words with providing skills, they can explore more skills by their own with their knowledge and imagination. Skills can also last long, it will never…

A Hero To Shadow

Agnes Gonxha Bonjaxhiu as known as Mother Teresa. She was a Catholic nun and the founder of Missionaries of Charity in Calcutta.

Mother Teresa taught at St. Mary's High School in Calcutta, but the suffering and poverty she glimpsed outside the convent walls made such a deep impression on her that in 1948 she received permission from her superiors to leave the convent school and devote herself to working among the poorest of the poor in the slums of Calcutta.

For over 45 years, she… Continue

From the 33 secrets that was written in the Exhibit A by people around the world, one of my favorite one is "Talk to the people who have the problem – and LISTEN to what they have to say". Getting to listen to people's feelings and thought about what they are facing, their hard time is something great or we could say it's a fate. Because some people don't really like to communicate with people they are not familiar with or they don't want to talk to. There are very little people on this…

The 2020 essay

When Alchemy calls me in 2020, I will be either playing professional soccer or designing video games with Microsoft, If they are still a working company. The soccer club team I would want to play with is Manchester United. And the Country team I would want to play with is USA. Soccer and Video game designing are both a very different job, so sadly, I would have to only pick one.

in the year 2020

In 2020, I will be in collage. However, if alchemy calls me then the best thing that I will do is to help poor people and make them happy. First I will join international organization that help poor people and find ways to help the poor people without hurting their pride of forcing them into some kind of action. I just don't want give them only money and free meal, but I want their children to have knowledge for next generation, so that the children can help their parent afford foods or…

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. I walk to the fridge and open it to see what there is for me to eat. All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
