For a truly shocking action on par with the world-record breaking toilet line, I envision having people worldwide build a some kind of tower - possibly a human tower - the same height as the amount which the groundwater table has been depleted in the local area. This should show people how much they have depleted their local groundwater table and remind them to conserve water. Also, because it relies on local measures of the groundwater tables, it should be more poignant to more people since it…

Hello EVOKE,
It is time to get back to work. I have been working on a couple of projects:
SEED,
Gratitude Gardens,
Wind Powered Laptop--but I am interested in what you all are doing?
I think it would be awesome if everyone made a brief reply…

I’ve been thinking about EVOKE, where it’s heading, how things have gone so far etc. I’ve also been thinking about some of the things Jane McGonigal has said and written, about applying game thinking and skills to real world problems. I then started thinking about the reverse, about what EVOKE would look like in terms of more classical computer games. If EVOKE was a fantasy role playing game (RPG), for example, where would we be right…

I'd like to introduce everyone to Seldon Labs of Windsor, VT and their product called the Waterbox. Seldon uses innovative technology that they have patented called nanomesh. Using extremely tiny particles of carbon called nanotubes, they create a mesh of spun fiber out of these nanotubes that when water flows through it is capable of eliminating almost all viruses, bacteria, heavy metals, parasites and almost any other particulate that could cause us harm. This Waterbox and their Waterstick…

Ok... Talked to an engeneer about my 3 projects (Wind, Wave and solar)
Here are the results:
Wind: well, I had a great idea for a new kind of wind turbine.

After talking to the engeneer it turnes out, that though it seems counter intuative that it would be more efficiant use…

In 2020, I envision myself living in a self-sustained, technologically advanced city in a global resource-based economy (RBE). Politics and the notion of nationalism of the present have been long abolished, eradicating the present-day problems of corruption, crime, poverty and war. In its place, a global RBE, where decisions are arrived at through the integration of the world's knowledge databases, enables Humanity to use its amazing capabilities to solely advance the human and environmental…

Hello EVOKE.
Over the past two weeks I have been monitoring the increasing dissatisfaction that people are having with EVOKE. What I thought I would do is be one of those def-mutes--just ignore the grumblings and play the game. This week we saw the first instances of EVOKE members leaving, and in an effort to prevent that from happening again I want to share some thoughts with you all.
First: EVOKE is not about getting the most power points. The power points are there to help…

In 2020 I will be celebrating new years with my friends on the wild coast at coffee bay. Its a holiday destination that has limited electricty and therefore requires the use of sustainable energy sources. The house that we are staying in is a real "shack" and doesn't have mant things which need power. The power that is needed comes from the solar panel on the roof. This powers the geyser, plugs and lights. The power it provides can't power appliances that require alot of power and therefore…

First off, I apologize if this doesn't make as much sense as it should- I'm a bit sick, on some whoozy medications and its 4:30 in the morning.
Now, that I'm past the preface, I want to briefly discuss points, leaderboard and this game in a pretty simple matter.
#1) The game ends with an EVOKATION. That takes work, effort and time. Point hoggers, hundreds of picture rankers, people doing other scamming I'll rank yours if you rank mine stuff cannot win the game even if they are…

Subtitle: A Four Season Discovery in Sustainable Living
So,
wow. The last three weeks on Evoke have been quite a ride! So, My
project, - Our Project - is bigger than a single contest, a dream of
the improbable reality, is set up for some planning action.
This can be extraordinary. So, here we are and this is what needs to be done. This is the point it has come to: and those who are already
involved and those who want to become involved: please post,…

So after several posts about growing food in an urban environment, I've had a thought. What do people think about Guerrilla Growing.
The Premise - Areas that are in public spaces become areas for food production and beauty.
How it works: Where set-aside and private land are owned, and therefore planting on there is trespassing, there are many areas, especially in cities that have and almost symbolic patch of grass (Where I used to live this was on the pavement outside every…

Dear fellow Agents, for the past week or so we have been discussing different ways we can grow enough food to feed the globe sustainably and affordably.
In many developing countries smallholder export horticulture is aleady proving to be a powerful new engine for growth in rural economies. My country Kenya has been one of the quickest to develop as a supplier of air-freighted fresh vegetables from…

It's March 10, 2020. What are you eating for dinner?
I´m on the Yamanote Line. If I had kept on learning Japanese I would have less trouble now trying to understand the voice in Japanese in the loudspeaker. I think she says
-"Yoyogi station, next stop Harajuku station"
That´s my stop. I need to contact Agents of the EVOKE Network.
Harajuku station is a busy station full of Gothic Lolita´s that are… Continue

Uganda's economy widely depends on the agricultural sector. The biggest population of Ugandans benefits from Agriculture - both directly and indirectly.
Many regions in Uganda are practicing subsistence agriculture - mainly because the land is owned by private individuals in small plots; so, the people choose what to do on their plots of land.
Because families practice subsistence agriculture on small plots of land, their target is to produce enough to feed…
