Getting credits for taking care

Due to demographic change every fifth person on earth will be over 60 years by the year 2050. In Japan, probably the oldest society in the world, people started an initiative, where you can get credits for time spent caring for elders in the community. Those elder-care units might serve as complimentary currency while doing the community a service.

the greenest birthday in history

In 2020 I will celebrate my 33 birthday but hopefully I will also celebrate the roofing ceremony of my zero energy house. I'm not sure where, but I dream about a zero energy house since I was a teenager.

As my sister is an architect I sometimes traveled with her to companies supplying materials for zero energy houses and it always fascinated me to see how a…

lending on zidisha.org

I thought about this for a time. Then I started gathering information of what I could do. In the beginning I found a website called Kiva.org where you can lend 25$ or more to people in a developing country. I read about this system and also found a review about the system Kiva uses and the MFIs. The author recommended another lending platform called Zidisha, where you can lend your money directly to the borrower and don't have the MFIs between you and the borrower.

I have already lent…

Learn 5

To find a suitable solution for the problem, I've immersed myself in the direction of social bakning. During my research I have discovered something new for me, one good idea that is practiced in Germany since 1980. This is a Ökobank. Objectives of Ökobank were the provision of funding for the…

This week I exanged clothes with two of my friends instead of doing shopping with them... It was so funny, we meet each other, the two girls brought some clothes which they don't like anymore... we drunk some wine and tried the clothes and exchang them...
Now we all habe new special clothes and are happy, we saved money and we don't have to put something to containers for used garment collection :)

talents, social lending and my own thoughts

Basically there are three ideas or innovations in relation to money or future money that I really appreciate.

The first one is about talents. Talents that can be used like money for every kind of service. I first heard about this just one or two month ago. It's a system based on the special abilities every single person has and that can be offered to others. Someone might be very good in solving computer problems, while another one is great at reapairing cars, or baking, or perhaps…

Future money

I think microsavings are a good idea to help the citizens of Mumbai. Just a little of many people and a citizen of Mumbai can start its own business. I also think that a barter systemcould be beneficial. It would ensure that people receive their goods not only immediately but they also will use these items for every day use.

"Exchanging instead of paying!"

I don't know much about money or how it work... But I know, that the system of our money is not the best...

I think we should go back to the reason for the money to solve this problem... Money has been created for the reason to excange goods and services with others... Now I guess the reason of money is to became rich...

We should use more "exchange rings as an alternative" for using money.

Futher informations you can find on:…

How to save water in 2020

I think also in nearly 10 years the issue to save warter in daily life won't be solved. Therefore I imagine, there will be a big "saving the water festival" which take place in the h*** world... with diffrent activaties... it should be a big party so that nobody could oversee the tast to save water...

Complementary currency

Bernard A. Lietaer wrote in an article about complementary currency. Complementary Currency is a alterntive currency to money. A country or society can choose an alternative to money that everybody in this country or society has to accept as well as money. It should not replace original currency, but ot might fulllfill social functions that the official currency system cannot.

According to Lietaer complementary currency provides new jobs, like it already did in the New York, USA.…

Chip in the body

I believe that the trend goes in the direction of fictitious currency. Whether PayPal or credit card through enjoyment it is difficult to say. Currently I have a feeling that in Germany, anyway all the money transfer agents are networked with each other.

Perhaps it creates an organization who reduce all of paymant methods to one. And perhaps we will don't have cards,…

The Future of Money Learn 5

Money is a widely distributed machine whose purpose is to compute the value of goods and services. In order to function, money needs certain vital qualities.

Money has to be mobile, so as to move from hand to hand with ease. Money needs to be flexible: incarnating itself as coins, paper, bonds, stocks or zipping electronic impulses. Money needs psychological acceptance: The population must unblinkingly accept the fact that a plastic card or flimsy paper is of great value.

Money…

Micro-Savings System in developing countries

In my opinion, the system of "Mahila Milan" is a very good idea. Normally people in this social level would never save an even small amount of money daily. Without savings, people are never able to build up a capital stock which can keep them from poverty. They are not able to offer their children a perspective regarding their education because they do not have money for school or university, for example. Mahila Milan focuses on women which is another positive point, because women in poor…

ACT5 - A little experiment with time

I started an experiment in my residential community, with time as currency. I really enjoyed the idea of "Time Banking" and wanted to test how it works under real life conditions.

We are using minutes as the basic currency unit. We planned to cover reciprocal services between friends which should stay unaffected by money, for example cooking, dish-washing and various helps between friends. Time passed over a service will be recorded and added to the helpers time account. So every…

Paypal online payments

This week i tried out paypal. Paypal offers an online payment and money transfer system. The advantage, as a micropayment-capable system is, that payments are instantly credited to the recipients account. Furthermore you only need to know the email-address of the person you want to send money to, global transactions = no problem.
I myself used it to donate a few dollars to path.org - a great entrepreneurial approach for global health.

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
