LEARN10 - Mission 10: The future of EVOKE

WHICH great challenges and social problems should the EVOKE Network tackle next?

I think it's important to start changing the education in many countries. The future of a country builds upon its children. It's important to teach them moral standards and rules and not let them become corrupt politicians or political leaders. Educational concepts can be created and adapted to a certain country. It can include steps on how to make the country better and how to achieve the…

Power my mobile phone

I live in Nuremberg, a very hilly city. I could combine my bike with a generator which could be hooked up with my mobile phone. Once I ride downhills, electricity can be generated and my mobile phone will be charged easily, maybe not fully charged at once, but considering that I ride bike at least twice a day, the power will be sufficient for a daily use.

EVOKE Season 2

I suggest that refugee should be the one of the next topics that evoke will focus on. There are millions of vulnerable people who left their countries and families and strive to live in an other place. Initiatives and solutions need to be evoked to help these stateless people overcome loneliness and settle in the new country, or support them to get back home.

About the WHO: College students are the most suitable players of evoke. We have passion, we have new thoughts and we also have…

LEARN10 - New topics for Season 3

After ten exciting and exploring weeks we have come to an end of EVOKEs´ Season 2. Now it is up to us to suggest challenges and social problems to face for Season 3.

For the next episode the topics should include beneath Food and Agriculture, the unanticipated impacts of the global financial crisis especially in those countries who suffers most of it.

The global financial crisis has led to an economic crisis which in turn has led to a human rights crisis. A report of Amnesty…

LEARN10 - The next EVOKE

I think the season 2 of the EVOKE network should trackle the same problems of season 1 and more interesting topics like the local environment, human rights, rising poverty and bad work conditions. Then we schould motivate the participants to more action. Because only collecting solutions does not move much. Furthermore in my opinion the next EVOKE should especially try to reach the countries and areas in which those problems often occur.Because they are the people who really know about the…

LEARN10 - Focus on specific topics

In the next season of evoke the network should address more specific topics, e.g. sustainability management or saving raw materials. Herewith the network could create more realistic solutions for urgent problems. And I'm sure that more experts would join the network if they would get the chance to share their specific expertise.

Changes in season 2: Specific missions, adapted to recent environmental and political issues (hot button for extremely urgent missions)

The future of EVOKE

Looking at the future I think we will see a change in the world. The strong countries as we know them right now won't be the strong countires in maybe 20 years. The world is changing.

The social problems that might appear are in my opinion basically energy and water problems. More nations will increase their living standard. That means that more and more need more energy and water for that life.

I think Africa will play a big role in the future as they have to make the biggest…

a 3

In terms of the Pee-thing, could they be implemented with toilets at home? As well as having a solar-powered home, going to urinate could also help power your house! Each toilet would have a filter that would drain flushed liquids and then distribute it onto the chloride paper. The toilet would have a built-in LCD screen which would tell people when the chloride paper was almost finished so that people could go out and buy some more handy-packs (which include toilet paper AND chloride paper…

LEARN10 - Season 3 of EVOKE

Because at the time already the second season of EVOKE runs I want to make my suggestion for the third season.

In my opinion there is one thing that is particularly important. THE CHILDHOOD!!!In many countries, children have to work in order to be able to survive. Children in poor countries have no way to live a normal childhood. I think there should be missions in which agents try to help children around the world. In each country, especially in developing countries,…

Evoke Manifesto

Evoke brings the power of changing the world to everybody. In Evoke you have to tackle missions about social problems and come up with solutions. Thinking about your own solutions and reading others creates great ideas for global problems.

When you join the Evoke network you become an official Evoke agent. As an Evoke agent you have special powers like knowledge, local insight or vision. As you create more and more solutions for global problems you gain more and more powers and so…

next episode

EVOKE should deal in the next episode with the problems in the Middle east.

I think about:

  • assistance for refugees
  • medical help and food supply in "war areas"
  • build an infrastructure
  • disarm the population
  • introduction of a neutral and objective information service
  • sensible use of available resources

In season 2 Evoke should focus more on the importance of education for people all over the world, at least in the developing countries, because as I already mentioned a few times I´m absolutely convinced that education is a huge key factor to face (social) problems all over the world.

Also I think it could be important to teach the people playing Evoke some more things about renewable energies, cause satisfying the humans energy consumption is going to be a huge problem in the future I…

Sacred Places

There have been many cases of people protecting places that are important to them or people that are related to them. Places that are ancient or sacred to old tribes or groups should be protected because they are a part of our history and are actually quite important. They should not be knocked down!

What happens next

The season 2 of the evoke network should tackle next the social problems like child labour, child poverty, fair labour markets/conditions, human rights and diseases all over the world. The evoke network should try to build up new communities in South and Central America as well as Eastern Europe. I would encourage to play the second season every creative head, independent from his education. At that i would change the missions. A little bit knowledge is necessary to understand the situation,…

My wisdom for future generations

It is the year 2088. I am 100 years old and I decide to pass on my elder's wisdom.

"Much has changed in life. Because of the clime change it is now possible to practice agriculture in the areas like in the north of the Scandinavia, Russia and Siberia. In the countries like central Africa it is impossible to live because of the heat and water deficiency. There was a great mass migration in the year 2050.

Novel Communication technologies have made possible that everyone in the…

IMAGINE9 - Colloboration

  • In the internet, there are a lot of helpful tips on how to treat influenza at home. The people, who are experts in internet researching, could gather up these tips and make their information available online.
  • Cooks could provide useful cooking recipes online.
  • People with computer science skills could provide a forum for collaboration in such situations. There might be people, who are no longer able to help themselves or their family members, so…

EVOKE in the future

Now that this period of EVOKE is almost done, which topics should be next? Where should EVOKE go and how is it supposed to change?

Interesting topics I would like to know, research and talk about are especially topics like rising poverty and bad work conditions. There are so many countries in the world in which people work so hard and so long every day but still their wages are not enough to live. They still live below the poverty line. And also European companies do not respect those…

Its 2020 and my family is enjoying themselves at the beach for the Fourth of July. The city has recently installed hydro powered mills in the ocean, which created energy for most of our town. They are renewable and eco-friendly. We rode our bikes to the beach and brought our solar oven to make an all locally grown and organic lunch in. The palm trees are a good source of shade, and we have a clothes line to dry out wet hemp towels. The sun screen we use is made from all natural materials,…

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

The meal

It is 7'oclock, I was late home from work due to an assignment that i wanted to get ahead on. By the time I get home I am feeling extremley tired and I cannot be bothered to make a proper meal. I walk to the fridge and open it to see what there is for me to eat. All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Foods are vacc** sealded for easy…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
