Dear youngins i have a very important message for all of you. This is a secret that has been passed down from generation to generation. You mustn’t forget it. Here goes. The land you currently rely on is very precious. Do not abuse it. I have had to go through that myself but thankfully evoke agents came to the rescue and fertilized the land. Promise me you won’t destroy it again. Remember you mustn’t dwell on the past but you must remember it.

It is a national problem in Zimbabwe that over 70% of the population is rural and depends on land resources to sustain life. Although this may not seem like a problem it is. Farmers used a process called slash and burn was they burn the soil making it fertile for a little bit but after that the land is ruined. Thankfully the people at CBNRM decided to do something about it. They taught people about this problem and started to try fertilizing the land again so it can sustain enough food for a…

100 Years Later.....

When I am 100, I will pass on the fun the things we have now that won't exist in the future, and stories like Red Riding Hood and more - which i'm supposing won't be remembered with all the new technology.

Indigenous Secret

Climate can affect indigenous lives a lot. For example, they sometimes cause harm to the people (fevers, colds, etc.) and their food supplies.

Important Lesson

A very important lesson I learned is that you should always be happy with what you have now. On day, it will be gone and you can't reverse anything. If we all look around and really think about it, we have everything we need AND want.

100

If I was 100 I would tell the secret of how to fly. My children would be very pleased and would use it a lot in EVOKE to spy and get things. It will be a special drink that can make you fly, and believe me, it will be made.

Mission 6 - ACT

I picked the project to empower Afghan women with job training skills from the Global Giving project. I made a personal donation and posted the request for donations to my Facebook page. I will not have a way to track how many other people give money, because that will be up to my them personally. My donation was made in honor of my mom who passed away several years ago.…

Women and War

From WomenWatch, I chose the November 21 article, “Gaza Health Authorities Struggling as War Casualties Swell,” (http://www.unmultimedia.org/radio/english/2012/11/gaza-health-authorities-struggling-as-war-casualties-swell/) because I am currently teaching a course on Middle Eastern Affairs. This story reminds us that the tragedies of war often affect not only soldiers,…

Urgent Info Spread durning crisis

In the future, we might face the affects of Global Warming. Local TV/radio stations can help get a TV or radio broadcast to aware the people what is going on and how to protect ourselves.

LifeStraw

I have found a really cool new product called LifeStraw, which is a portable water filter that can be used by some of the one billion people without access to clean, safe drinking water. Each one uses a four-layer filter system that can filter up to 1000 liters of water and kills 99% of disease-causing microbes. Producing and distributing enough of these could really save a wh*** lot of lives!

Party in 2020

Party at my house in 2020! WOO-HOO!! My brand new house is as energy-efficient as they come, complete with state-of-the-art windows and insulation, a photovoltaic paint job, and photovoltaic shingles covering my entire roof! The water used to cook food is heated using an energy-efficient tankless water heater (powered by the shingles) and the food is cooked on a stove using gas instead of electricity. My home is completely energy self-sufficient, and I actually sell energy back to the…

I have found a cool guide on how to make your own solar powered USB charger (to charge cell phones or anything else that usesUSB): http://www.instructables.com/id/Solar-Altoids-USB-Charger/

I'm going to give this a shot when I get the chance and hope that I don't blow something up!

New Food

The food of the future hopefully will be all natural home grown organic food, same great fruits and vegetables we eat today but just healthy and produce on small local farms. It would be great for local grocery stores to buy from local farms and get their supply that way. The perfect meal would be free-range beef or chicken locally raised, with sweet corn and a nice salad either grown locally or in my own back yard, also have a side of cut fruit same as the vegetables grown locally. That…

LEARN 2

The biggest issue for my community is the economy, it is hard for people to provide adequately for their families due to job loss and high cost rates of food. It isn't to severe yet but if it continues in the rate that it is going it maybe become a huge problem. But thankfully those who can't afford food can go to many non-profits that are supplied by many different food banks like Low country Food Bank: http://lowcountryfoodbank.org/hope…

City in 2020

The city I live in will be more safe and enjoyable than it is today. It will have stronger and more advanced building that will have good protection against storms, because where I live, there is a lot of strong thunderstorms and every now and then a tornado.

Listen to the Right People

It's impossible to find a good solution to a problem you don't understand. I think that the first place to start when looking for a solution is understanding the problem by listening to the people it impacts the most. The knowledge one gains creates a foundation for a solution to be built on.Listening to the right people also leads to understanding the circ***tances of the problem: what other social, cultural or political elements contribute to this problem? What has already been tried? Who…See More
