A crash course in changing the world.
The indigenous aspect of my region I am from that I would share would be how to fish. I feel like in the future people will quit fishing and start relying on markets to buy their fish. Also, I feel as though technology will start to affect the traditional ways of fishing. So I will pass on how to do everything from make a rod to stringing it up. I will then show how to find fishing hot spots so people can enjoy the outdoors and fish. Its not intended to be easy but I feel like in the future…

I would have a group of scientists tasked with find a cure to the pandemic flu. I would also have a staff of doctors to help anyone with the pandemic flu. They would provide medical care to people affected by the flu. Also, I would have a staff trying to get word out about our efforts to help anyone who is being affected by the pandemic flu. This staff would raise awareness on ways to prevent sickness and ideas that will help keep people healthy.

I thought it was interesting how the public and professionals had their own opinions. I believe the public views a pandemic is in a direct response to the media. If the media coverage is saying the wrong things then people will think that and dismiss professional opinions as speculation. But then again bad news sales so the media is going to report on things that interest people. I believe it is a good idea to hold the media to the same standards that professionals in any line of work are…

Evoke should tackle the problems with child poverty and child soldiers in Africa. This will give Evoke Agents the ability to establish ways to stop this from happening to future generations of African children. Without doing this the message to stop this problem in Africa will never get out and it will not be stopped.

I will be celebrating Thanksgiving with my parents. We will have just purchased solar powered panels in order to use natural energy. These panels will help us power our house for all uses it be it T.V., to microwave things, and all that. This keeps us from being dependent upon non clean energy. Also, it will keep our electricity bill down so we will have money to donate to charities in our community.

In order to create a energy source that will offer sustainable energy I will create shoes that help produce energy. The shoes will offer the ability to power anything the person needs. The catch 22 is that they will have to walk to be able to use this product. In order to get energy the person has to walk the energy will be stored in the shoes with the ability to be plugged in. Through this the person will be fighting obesity and his or her dependence on electricity. Also, they will be able…

I will be eating a delicious meal of steak and potatoes. The steak will come from a farm that I traded some potatoes that I grew in my garden for. I will use my potatoes that I grew in my garden in this meal as well. Also, I will be eating alone. The dish tastes delicious and makes me feel secure about my food due to my ability to be independent from the food industry with the ability to grow my own foods and trade these products for other delicious foods.

I imagine that I will be in the army working to strive for global peace. It will be a tough job but I will enjoy every aspect of my job. Hopefully the United States government will allow us to help with the Tokyo food crisis.

Charleston County has an Emergency Management Department (EMD) that:
provides leadership and assistance in an effort to reduce the loss of life and property in Charleston County from a variety of man-made and natural hazards through an effective emergency management program based on the Four Phases of Emergency Management:
• Mitigation - efforts to reduce hazards or their impacts
• Preparedness - efforts to prepare for a likely hazard

The most significant threats facing the Charleston, SC community are hurricanes and the possibility of an earth quake.
Ushahidi could serve as a literally life-saving tool in such events. During and immediately after the disaster, it could be used to help track people who need immediate rescue, such as those trapped in buildings either because of earth-quake damage or flooding. It could also be used throughout the disaster response and recovery period to identify roads and bridges…

I already use ebay and paypal as my first-stop shop for absolutely everything that is not perishable, and I don't have a "smart phone" that does transactions. Also, I don't "tweet." So, I signed up for meetup group that will let me know when and if a skills bank opens in my area.

The biggest change in how we use money is likely to come through the adoption of bancor as a global currency. As Reza Moghadan notes in “Reserve Acc**ulation and International Monetary Stability” (IMF, 2010), this change is likely to occur as the countries holding the world’s major reserve currencies become unable to maintain fiscal and financial stability. In particular, if the value of the US dollar comes under extreme pressure as a result of unsustainable external debt, the membership of…

If our world was in trouble because of the pandemic flu, just a little or big group will never be able to do enough. I would get everyone to do their part. For example, a number of states would gather all and any scientists to figure out a solution. A bunch of other states with good crops and food growth systems would deal with the food supply. If we want to make a difference, we would need everyone to join.

My Evoke website would be hidden to every other link in the universe. If someone doesn't know how to get to it, they can just go to any random website and look around. Sooner or later the Evoke link would be somewhere, just like that. The website would have many sections like the current events, possible warnings, help area, etc. The help area would be where you ask anything you want, share info, etc. and a Evoke agent would answer you at least under 5 minutes tops. With this idea, people…

I believe that managing panic is a pandemic is most important. If someone stays calm, they can be in a efficacy mode and help others in need. If people don't panic, the world will have less injuries. All that pushing and running can really harm someone and be blamed on the event that is happening. With more collected people, others will gain hope and safety.

My story begins with the tale of Bibi Aisha, the 18 year-old Afghan girl depicted in the 2010 World Press Photo of the year (taken by Jodi Bieber of South Africa). When she was 12 years old, Bibi’s family gave her as a bride to a man her family had wronged. Her husband abused her terribly until she escaped and fled back to her family home. The details of the story get a little blurred in conflicting statements from there. It may have been at the Taliban’s command, but Bibi’s family members…
