Girl Scouts

I have a friend with a daughter in Girl Scouts, they are planing a camping trip for this summer. I volunteered to help out and let them use some of my camping supplies. We also went over first aid and safety with her and her friend and took a look at the Florida field guide.

Role model

My role model would be Boston College soph. Safety, Justin Simmons. He is a spiritually, physically, and emotionally strong individual I have grown up with. Justin uses his status as a division 1 athlete to project a positive image for young kids to look up to.

Help Afghan Women Deliver Healthy Babies Safely

For this mission I chose to support and raise awareness for the Afghan Institute of Learning's "Help Afghan Women Deliver Healthy Babies Safely" campaign. Not only did I make a monetary contribution to the cause I also reached out to my network via email about the cause and the role they can play in helping. I chose this cause because life starts at birth. Unfortunately, not everyone is afforded the same safe birthing experience as we are used to the norm being in the United States. I would…

Eric Dawson – Peace First

I chose to follow Eric Dawson and the Peace First project because I feel it is very important to recognize the amount of violence that we and our children are exposed to everyday, and I think the program is an effective means to counter this negativity.

These are the ways I plan to keep up with him and the project:

Act-6: Help empower one girl or woman with better access to education or economic opportunity.

For this Mission, I need to help one girl to get a better access to education or economic opportunity. I kept thinking how to do this mission until, I remember that I have a friends that started a community and service (CAS) about teaching english to little kids. The CAS is called Riveria. They chose to name this program riveria because the school is located near the river. Here is the photo of evidence when I teach the little kids, especially the little girl about english.…

Empowering Women - Act

Knowledge is the main problem that blocks woman from economy. Our group decide to donate many school supplies such as books, pencils, pen, and etc to children in the villagers through from a community and service in my school named "invisible children". Act-5: Try out an alternative currency or exchange system for yourself!

This past few days we were learning about alternative currency. Basically, alternative currency means that we can only use the money in a certain place. Before this method was exist, there's a same method as this one called barter. Using this method we can trade others people's goods. For example you want a laptop from Mr. B, and Mr. A want to have 10 of your chicken. After both of you reach an agreement finally you can trade. The only disadvantages to this method is that we need to carry…

So, for this post I need to make an alliance with a water visionary. I already know which group should I make an alliance with. This is the website that I will make an alliance with: http://www.ncsafewater.org/. Solar Cooker - Act

So in DT class, We are told to make a Solar Cooker for cooking food. Refugee camp in Africa have to cut down woods and burned them, with Solar Cooker they can just use the sun and cook things, the bad thing is that it would take twice longer than using wood or a normal stove. Solar cooker is very useful for the people in that refugee camp because, they don't have to walk many miles searching for woods, and the are wouldn't be polluted, beside Solar cooker is free you don't have to pay if you…

Design a new way to power something you use everyday.

My dad has a factory, from what I heard from my mom is that he uses a lots of transportation like trucks and car. One day my mom was angry because my dad uses 2/10 of these for car fuel, and because of that the money for the electricity and water was not enough.

While I was hearing this conversation I had an Idea. My Idea was to reduce using the car, but that if my dad decides to do that the money that he gets will be reduced, and if it gets reduced still they will have no money to…

Act-3: Design a new way to power something you use everyday.

Everyday I always use my phone to communicate. However, Sometimes I always run out of a battery in a place where I can't charge. My Idea is that I'm going to put a small solar panel above my hat so it can receive sunlight and turn it into electricity. That way I can Charge my phone wherever I run out of battery in a place where I can't find any electricity. This is the drawing that I make based on the idea that I talked about. …

Act-2: Increase the food security of at least one person in your community.

So to increase food security starting a home garden I think it's a good idea because, when there's a disaster or something that can affect you can just eat something from your own garden. To start a home garden you don't really need a big area. the only thing you need is the seed that most likely will grow in your area. Maybe you could help other people by growing different crops so in the ends you can just share what you get and get a better quality and quantity.

Act - Food Securiy

I really want to help people start their own home garden, but before I can do that I need to make a home garden first in my backyard and start in my house first before helping others, because it would be hard if you don't know anything to plant. To learn more about home garden and how to plant the right way, I need to volunteer my self at a local community garden. There I can learn from the experience people that have been gardening for many years. If I wanted to invent something for the…

Act- 1: Choose a hero to shadow:

For this task, I need to choose a "Hero" that had a contribution to do something helpful for other people. In this case after I search google for a while I finally found a hero that I think made a good contribution to the community that he helped. His name is Prigi Arisandi. His basic interest is in saving the Surabaya river.

Their job is to find out valuable information about the river, for example, how badly polluted is the river, what industries are polluting the river etc. Then he…

Act 3 - Generating Power in Gyms

Act%203.pdf

My friend Teresa and I thought about where in our daily life we could produce energy. Today we went to a fitness centre to sign in and there we had the idea: generating energy while exercising! In gyms people spent hours trying to burn up as many calories as possible. Why not saving this kinetic energy and using it to produce electricity? Back home we began our…

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
