Hmm, these future-y ideas seem kind of funny to me. It just sounds like those essays entitled "How I spent my summer vacations", y'know, the one's that we did in first grade. Granted, I could use a vocabulary greater than that of a first grader's.
So, I really want to throw an awesome Canada Day in 2020. For those that don't know, Canada Day takes place on July 1st, every year since 1867. People tend to be pretty patriotic about…

Amory Lovins is actively trying to lecture and let people know how to change their ways and reduce consumption of oil and fossil fuels. Educated at Harvard and Oxford, he advises the government and worldwide major firms on how to save energy and resources efficiently. He wrote books on reducing consumption by making a commitement to a policy that rewards social innovation. This will motivate people to see his reasoning, and make small sacrifices with commitment to follow a sound energy-saving…

Currently there is no cost efficient alternative to fossil fuels. Cheap Fossil fuel is the foundation of the global quality of life. Without it all modern production chains stop. To maintain our quality of life we must replace fossil fuels. So, I use the term “efficient alternative” to mean a system of energy production…

So I've done some research into the use of renewable energy, especially that which applies to cars. I think a great goal to work torwards is powering cars cleanly and cheaply. Now, due to my (somewhat limited) research on the subject, it seems we can! Here's how. First thing first, I saw on youtube (Hey, you can learn a lot from youtube) that a man recently found a way to cause salt water to… |

Most major cities are near the ocean. Wave energy is a predictable source of renewable energy.
Ocean Power Technologies is a company that has developed power buoys. I see wave energy as a great source of renewable energy for utility scale desalination and coastal communities. They don't have the eye sore issue of offshore wind.
Maybe in distant future they could even power
offshore… Continue

I just read this article from Popular Science about
simpler Solar Power. We are now producing cheaper, thinner solar panels. One of the examples was a messenger bag that could charge a cell phone, and the others where new designs of roof panels.
Read it.

I live in a small dorm room. I am limited in what I can do. I can't change the power source from the dorm, but I could possibly change it from the window. My idea apparently isn't original, but I would like to see
Window Solar Panels. Solar Panels could become a power source for my fan [since I don't have air conditioning], or for other small appliances. They could either hang from the Window, or…

It's Halloween night on the year 2020 and I am 28 years old. My life is at a good point and I am working hard and enjoying life as good as I can.
Halloween is my favorite holiday of the year because I am into all the dark stuff and horror themes. It's what makes me happy just like a little girl loves her rainbow ponies and magical castle land. LOL
On halloween I usually go out to a movie or attend a haunted house walkthrough ride with friends.…

I discovered David Palella and is wonderful solar powered cook stoves when I began to look at ways to improve the quality of health in Nigeria. I am particularly interested in nutrition and its impact on health and well being, so his use solar power to cook when that would otherwise not have been possible was a delight to find. Even more so because he developed a method to pay for the cost of the cooking…

Think about this, your playing the drums and you need power. So you just beat the drum and it produces energy from the kinetic energy. If you can do it with a dance floor why not do it with a drum.

Search for a hero online. Look for someone who's already
tackling the world's biggest problems with creative solutions and
entrepreneurial ventures.
My hero, Bill Gates, is very successful, but that is not why i admire him, in fact strangely i do not like a lot of the things his company, Microsoft, has done in fact right now i am tapping the keys on my computer that is running Ubuntu. I'm a bit strange then, but what i say does have some sanity. Bill Gates has Donated a…

When updraft is achieved on an acceptable level for burning fuel instead of just partly closing chimney by a flap to reduce flow maybe we should add turbines that would slow down flow and gain electricity from it.

Every single object produced has an amount of energy in it´s manufacture. This includes every brick in every house, every piece of clothes that you wear. eMergy yes with an M instead of an n is a way of measuring this energy requirements. It´s a very holistic approach to measure energy since it takes in account all the energy since its a raw material extraction, transport,…

Everything is connected. Energy is required to produce our food so here
is an interesting chart
http://www.treehugger.com/files/2010/03/energy-required-for-pound-of-food.php ;
this could change if the production systems change and if they are less
dependent on non-renewable sources of energy.
To this we should add the energy required for food transportation and…
