Our water supply

Probably the Urgent Evoke mission that effected me the most was the mission on Water Security. I was amazed at how valuable to resource is to our lives. Therefore, I decided my next mission is to go local and support protection movements for Florida's natural springs. Not only do the springs feed new water into the rivers of florida they also are a resource for tourism, florida's largest economy booster. So I think I can convince both sides of the aisle that they are necessary for our…

My event would creating the world largest water slip'n'slide slide. As everyone is wanting to go down the slide we would have the first person go down the slide, to their surprise their would be no water!! This would highlight the importance of water conservation in one of the many ways we like to use it. As water resources abroad and at home decreases 1st world nations will have to conserve water from showers, gardening, and entertainment. 3rd world nations will have to struggle to survive…

Solar Cooker - Act

So in DT class, We are told to make a Solar Cooker for cooking food. Refugee camp in Africa have to cut down woods and burned them, with Solar Cooker they can just use the sun and cook things, the bad thing is that it would take twice longer than using wood or a normal stove. Solar cooker is very useful for the people in that refugee camp because, they don't have to walk many miles searching for woods, and the are wouldn't be polluted, beside Solar cooker is free you don't have to pay if you…

Water Crisis

My inspiring water project is Water For People. Their main mission is to treat people equally and giving them clean and save water. It says on their website that "Everyone should have improved water Forever. And we want to help them in reaching their goal, for every family, every clinic, and every school religious and districts where we work." Where I was watching water for people there's this guy who really inspire me. Ned Breslin, he is the CEO of water for people, he made a water pump…

Water Crisis

I really like the merry-go round idea because it allows the children to have fun while having fun with each other and get the water they desperatly need. My peers have come up with an idea of a "water donut" imagine a tire filled with water that can be used to transport the water from far away rivers without the heavy carring for miles.

Water cleansiness

My favorite idea for water cleansiness is the Play pump. I think it is efficient because while the kids get to keep healthy and that they don't have to bother thier moms and dads. I also think it is efficient because it pays for itself so nobody has to pay out of thier $2 a day salary for the clean water. I think it is effecient because it is safe energy ( as in it doesn't hurt the evirenment).

Water Day

In 2020 I will make a giant sink in the middle of Atlanta. It will slowly be dripping water and it will attract attention of hundreds. It will be a fundraiser. With every 1,000 dollars donated to the sink it will stop dripping a little bit. People will donate because there will be an plaque educating them about how much water a dripping faucet can waste. We won't really be wasting any water, but it will make them see how much they need to pitch in and help. Eventually the sink will stop…

Water Crisis - A Good Fix

The organization, "World.org," has a vision where all people have access to safe drinking water and sanitation; a world where no one suffers or dies from a water- or sanitation-related disease, which is the key problem in countries such as Haiti, Ghana and Ethiopia.

Children and adults do not have access to adequate sanitation -- there is one toilet for every five. It is said that half of the people in Haiti lack access to clean water and only one in five have access to a sanitary… Continue

A foggy day means water for all

Dover UK

Known for the amazing white chalk cliffs, Dover is also known for its amazing natural fog. Now "Fog is the same as a cloud except that it touches the ground, whereas a cloud has a base that is above the ground. When a cloud is moved by the wind and flows over and around a mountain, fog is present wherever the cloud touches the…

Simplicity without Manuals

Easy usage is the most important thing that we can include if we want to have an impact on the world. Why would people take the time to read an extensive manual for a new machine or development? This is why, on top of trying to create cheap solutions to the problems, we need to make them simple and transparent so that their use can spread. This way the people who are using it will be able to explain it to their neighbors, which will be vital to the success of whatever new invention we provide.… Continue

Singapore Water Management & Others

The main source of water in Singapore is rainfall and it is collected in reservoirs or water catchment areas. Driven by a vision of what it takes to be sustainable in water, Singapore has been investing in research & technology. Today, the nation has built a robust, diversified and sustainable water supply from four different sources.

One of them is the sea.

By a process called desalination, which is the process of removing salt & minerals from sea water, making it safe to… Continue

Charity Water

My act 4 was to promote Charity Water to my network as well as this one.

In blogs like this one, I talk about what I believe makes Charity Water successful and why they should continue to be supported.

The result of all this campaigning is that my friends and I started a fund to try and fund the drilling of a well. I don't know if it will… Continue

A Water Crisis

A few weeks ago my Mom was talking about putting up a rain barell I didnt think much about it, I didnt really know what it was, but after reading about what it can to for the enviornment and for people in my neighborhood, I told her that I thought we should totally get one. Now we can use it to water the plants in our backyard. IT is really easy to use and we are helping with enviornment. I really like it. If you are on the fence about putting a rain cathcer around your home, DO IT!!!!

Water for People --- Why Haven't I Thought of This?

I think the Water for People organization has the right idea when it comes to clean water for the world. The number of people (mostly children!) that die everyday as a result of unsanitary conditions and lack of clean water is staggering. It's a shame that human beings have to live in conditions people in the "civilized" world wouldn't even allow their pet to live in, let alone survive in. By taking the approach that Water for People pursuing, we can get clean water to many more people. Albeit,… Continue

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
