And idea...
This is just an idea I'm throwing around after looking at World Without Oil and Evoke.
But the basic concept is to talk to facebook, and possibly any other small games development sites and maybe even Blizzard to see if they'd get in on it.
And create a game. A real honest to goodness game, like farm ville only dealing with real farming and real farming techniques and issues in Africa.
Give people so much money to buy a plot of land when they sign…

Year after year of heroic (and let's face it, very often American) movies have taught us that in the face of adversity, there'll always be a lone hero to save the day/the country/the president/the world. Of course as exciting as it feels to watch it happen, it's only a movie : until the early 21st century, it was hard to get actual data on how people - you, me, everybody - would react in the case of a pandemic : information that would prove invaluable to scientists and health professionals all…

I am calling on everyone who stumbles on this post to help
Agent Edayis.
This coming May 5th through 7th, the Davos Debates will be held at Dar es Salam, Tanzania. World leaders will be meeting to discuss on a World Economic Forum on Africa, and they are welcoming questions from everyone all over the world. A big factor on what questions go through, is votes.
And Edayis has a…

World Water Day will be an amazing day where the wh*** world celebrates the saving of clean water. In preparation for this day many countries have taken scores of sea life and have saved them in arks so that they can multiply and flourish with out contamination to reseed our valuable rivers, streams and oceans with the wildlife that was so abundant before the water shortage. Men, Women and children have made changes in their daily habits with water so that no drop is wasted. Places where there…

World Water Day 2020 Secret Event-
The plan is simple, but will take countless individuals to pull off.
On World Water Day 2020, groups of supports will come together in an organized manner to attempt a flash mob event.
Flash mobs are those crazy groups of people we see on the news or youtube.com that break out into dance in downtown New York or all freeze at once, as if time stood still.
In…

Well, that's the thing, isn't it: know the world and you know its weaknesses. One, of course, cannot introduce a thriving parasol market in Wales, and one cannot introduce charity-pressure to a poorer community. Work with what we have, but make it better. Nothing's magically going to improve, nothing is magically going to get worse though either: and single actions…

In 2020, with all the efforts of the wide diversity of projects promoting healthy, sustainable growth of all Earthlings, flora, fauna, and others, leaders of all kinds, from global organizations, to small governments, to business owners, to teachers, to parents, and even to kids, have learned how to nurture everyone so that the world is full of amazing communities and individuals working collaboratively to care for their planet.
On the personal level, humans learn that they deserve to…

On World Water Day, everyone should save water in any way they can, and set a goal limit for how much they use in one day. This includes shorter showers, and turning the faucet off every spare moment when one doesn't need it. That's a small thing everyone should do. Another thing people could do is to all donate perhaps a few water bottles to a charity, and all the gathered water would be shipped to other places in the world, and be used to last some time for the people who lack sanitation.…

Nassim Taleb is a quantitative analyst with a long experience in finance. He is the author of a very successful book,
The Black Swan, where he contends that most of the variability in the money world is concentrated in very few, very large events. They can't be predicted, or mitigated.
In 2009 he gave an iconoclastic talk at a World Bank conference on…

World Water Day. A celebration of water. A celebration of life. For without water there can be no life. The celebration must flow like water but also affect the mind. It must have the ability to be calm but then raging the next. To show people how important it is through its absence and then the beauty it can provide through its bountifulness.
A week prior to the event, water shipments stop. All those…

My idea for a spectacular World Water Day 2020 is to bring together various events under one umbrella focused for one day. Different charities and regions host their own World Water Day Event but use the collective good will to raise awareness.
These include various ideas like:
- Carry5's Walk for Water
- Biking, walking riding or giving up birthday presents for mycharity:water
- World's largest toilet queue
- ?
In 2009, the World Water…

In this day and age, children are inspirations to life. Even under the most harsh and unexpected conditions, these children offer us hope.
One of the ways we can help save the hungry children is through the global organization, World Vision. The most common option is by supporting a child. By donating around $1 a day, you can help a child in need. Some of our basic needs will be provided to these children. For example, clean water, nutritious food, learning opportunities, etc. It's as…
