In the year of 2020 I will take a stand for environment protection. In this case, I will celebrate a special day for supporting the sustainable energy. This day should show the german population how easy you could produce energy by yourself. I will try to catch lots of people to a huge public place, where they should produce energy by riding a bicycle. Today we already have bike-constructions for producing energy by riding it. Have a look at this video…

It's Memorial Day in 2020 and the entire town is at the beach and board walk in Santa Cruz, The entire town is powered energy from windmills. Even the rides on the board walk are powered by windmills! Everyone on the beach is quenching their thirst by using sustainable water carriers. The beach is sparkling clean because ti is devoid of all the trash that was present just a decade ago.

On Water Day 2020, as the sun rises, EVOKE agents all over the developed world are setting up wells. The wells are huge stands in the centers of towns where volunteers wait with different sized weights. Hundreds of thousands of people who have running water in their houses are going to use the wells today.
As the sun rises a few adventurous souls arrive first. They come with their buckets and the volunteers help to load them with weights. For each person in their family the participant…

Rotors thump as the helicopter hits the ground. The door bursts open and a squad of uniformed men and women bound forth. A tall man in a Beret jumps out last. It is Alchemy and he is calling on his Urgent Evoke agents once again to assist him. Mita runs up with a cell phone. "Alchemy, I have organized the agents and they will be ready on Go when you give the orders"! Alchemy grabs the phone and barks into it as a dust storm kicks up. "Sunny you have your agents in Texas mobilized… Continue

It is 2011 all evoke agents (class of 2010) are coming together to their yearly gathering. They have infiltrated great other social networks of the world (couchsurfing, bookcrossing, carsharing, facebook etc.) and mobilized thousands of people for the idea of urgent evoke. Now it is the time to create the ultimate network to unify the power of the people through reality actions like summer camps, gatherings, flash mobs, free hug days, demos, carrot mobs, barcamps and live…

This would be an event similar to a sponsored marathon run, in which competitors would get sponsors to donate based on the amount of water that they can move. The event would be a water transportation race, where the goal is to move as much clean drinking water as possible, using methods currently being employed in Africa. This will spread awareness by showing what people currently have to go in some parts of the world, to obtain something as essential and fundamental as clean drinking water.…

6:00 am. My alarm clock chirps the playful sounds of an outdoors ping-pong park in Beijing. As the laughter and pock pock pock crescendos, I open my eyes with a smile.
I've been using this track, circa November…

Numerous cultures all over the world have a concept called a rain dance, a ceremonial dance that calls upon the spirits to give us down here below the life-giving gift of water.
On March 24th, 2020 I propose a global 24 hour rain dance, people all over the world dancing and celebrating the earth's natural processes that give us water. At 4pm local time in every place on the planet people will gather and dance in whichever way they like in order to remind us all that nature…

I have come to this day for a purpose. I am not here to elevate fear. I am hear to help women fear less. The thing that most people need to know is that rape and other physical abuses are the most common problem for women and young children. As I have said before just about all the women I know have had someone molest them at one time are the other. I want women and children to know that they can arm themselves with knowledge and learn to keep an eye out for those who would hurt them.Because I…

World Water Day will be an amazing day where the wh*** world celebrates the saving of clean water. In preparation for this day many countries have taken scores of sea life and have saved them in arks so that they can multiply and flourish with out contamination to reseed our valuable rivers, streams and oceans with the wildlife that was so abundant before the water shortage. Men, Women and children have made changes in their daily habits with water so that no drop is wasted. Places where there…

Try Living on $2 a day.
I think its important that more people are encouraged to spend time in a developing nation. I think we can create a system here in the US that offers compensation for doing volunteer work in a developing nation.
I think we can have more exchanges going on of people coming here and people going there. I think that universities can take the lead here. Universities seem to be looking for a place to spend their money. Many universities profess social justice and…

World Water Day 2020 will be a day of protest to take a stand for water security. I will collaborate with bottled water companies to not sell any water on that day, or resorts or hotels to not fill up the swimming pools on that day. I will organize the longest drinking fountain line in urban areas, as well as the longest public septic tank line in rural areas. I will also hold talks about water security (problems and solutions) through different volunteers in many parts of the country.

On World Water Day in 2020, there could be a large event in which people would come and gain entry to the event by donating one water bottle to a worldwide fund and also 5 dollars per person going towards building water supplies accessible to those who are currently short on water. While us Americans may have unlimited access to all the water bottles we need, people in certain areas, like impoverished and dry sections of Africa, could use these water bottles. It could be a successful event year…

The average American soaks up about 1,189 gallons of water a day. When I read this fact I thought,
Surely I can't use that much water! In order to test myself, I tried the
water calculator web site. The calculator asked questions about my life style, then tallied up how much water I use. Once all of my data was imputed, I was shocked to find that on an average day, I use near 1,300 gallons! I realized that without the water…

Amongst the frenzy that is going on here on EVOKE, I ask you, my fellow EVOKEians to please join me tomorrow, Thursday, April 8th, for one day without shoes. It will be something not only to indirectly bring our community together, but it will also give you the opportunity to make a difference.
One day without shoes is hosted by
TOMS shoes. If you don't know about the company already, please read my very first blog post. It was about the founder,…

Today we're celebrating my favorite day of the year - the BAIA day (being as I am).
on this beautiful day nobody is working, and everybody is out on the street -
meeting one another and enjoying each other's company.
why is it a special day?
because on this day people are doing the one single thing they want the most,
but never dare to do during the rest of the year - be themselves,…

With all of my talk about using peltier generators to scavenge energy from heat sources to reduce the word's need for electricity and to create power from other heat sources, you might be tempted to think that I am obsessed with the technology, well, I am LOL :) But on the other hand it is a technology that has real promise in many different applications. Take for instance the issue of water shortage. Wouldn't it be great if one could just make water out of thin air? Well, you can! And yes, it…

In order to bring peoples attention to the problems of water depletion in the wh*** world I would encourage a series of events. Firstly, one hour in which everyone goes without a glass of water or anything to drink (unless of course they feel unwell) to highlight the sense of thirst. This will involve even pubs and restaurants not serving any drinks for that one hour. I am sure that people who are thirsty enough will catch up later on in the day so no real loss to the hospitality industry!…
