Water Will Remain A Problem Until ALL have Clean Water

One of a series of 8 videos on water from National Geographic. Well worth the time to watch. Each is around 5 minutes in length and provides local information, perspective and attitudes. Sorry about the Advertising, but Thass part of our internet life too. This project is from Lake Okavango, Botswana,.

Suggestion for Evoke

I initially started this blog with 1 suggestion, but I'm finding a few others I think that would be useful. In the past I've written similar blogs and the site implemented a few, so I figured I'd give it another try.

1. Add user blogs as examples in mission descriptions

I have been going through trying to complete the missions, because I realized how much I have been learning by having some direction with my thought… Continue

The root of all evil?

Money is commonly defined as medium that can be exchanged for goods and services and is used as a measure of their value on the market. Money makes it easier to trade, borrow, save, invest, and compare the value of goods and services.

Money has value only because we, humans have dictated that. A piece of colored paper with the picture of another (usually dead) human being has no value in itself. Money does not create inequality - humans do. Sound reasonable doesn’t…

Little by Little we Fill the Pot

Haba na haba hujaza kibaba is a Swahili saying that means little by little we will fill the pot. As I researched and pondered on how I will live to this Quest, I thought of Agent Anick-Marie's blog titled Downsizing your life helps you focus on…

Who is Citizen X?

My broad theory at the moment:

Citizen X is us, whenever we act as information repeaters instead of as responders.

The Evoke network is about using information and connections to organize intelligent, effective responses to crises.

Citizen X is about exploiting access to information for (anonymous) glory.

From this week's episode, it appears that:

1. The Citizen X community is interested in any information that others might value--celebrity gossip, credit card… Continue

In the "Land of Plenty" - the forgotten go hungry too

Here in the USA it is relatively easy to turn a blind eye to the concept of food shortage. Occasionally, the price of oranges might jump because of a problem with the harvest in Florida. Or, spinach might become unavailable due to the contamination of farmland in the primary growing area in California, causing an e-coli outbreak.

But the kind of pervasive widespread hunger. That insidious gnawing in the belly is foreign to most. And to those who feel those hunger pangs,…

2020

The best case scenario for me in 2020...? Hard to imagine, it's so far from now.. Hopefully I will be living in the US, working as international businessman, helping those in need, working for corporation which can help when any kind of crisis come....

Nowadays, businessmen are influenced not only by their own will, but mainly by what their superiors want them to do.. There aint much businessmen, who act by themselves... Its important to think not only about yourselfe, but also about… Continue

Barack Obama

I added him on Twitter, because he is the one, who can make a change..
He proved that a man can do whatever he wants to do, to reach whatever goal he wants to reach. There were just few groups of people who believed that he could ever become a president of US. He showed them all how strong will he has got. And to those who doubted him he showed that he has got what it takes to make a change...

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

It is 7'oclock, I was late home from work due to an assignment that i wanted to get ahead on. By the time I get home I am feeling extremley tired and I cannot be bothered to make a proper meal. I walk to the fridge and open it to see what there is for me to eat. All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
