I have chose the case study "Communities and Management of Natural Resources of the Cuban Archipelago". The Sabana-Camagüey Archipelago is one of the four archipelagos around the island of Cuba. This territory is considered a special sustainable development region within the National Protected Areas System. All Evoke Agents and connected parties hold to the Golden Rule Do Unto Others as You Would Have Them Do Unto You. That people all over the world have a right to food, water and physical security.

The idea of making polls on EVOKE was generated in a discussion on A.V. Koshy's blog, who (from what I understand) was inspired by Samiran Roy. I posted that I was dazzled by the idea, and commented on how great it would be to… Continue

I am posting my Pivotal moment quest on here for it will not let me post my moment entirely and I really needed to have that moment so here goes. Fasten your seat belts it might be a bumpy ride.
I am taking a stand for a relationship with Jesus Christ. I have been in so many situations that were dire at the time and when I call out to Him he directs my path. I take a stand that there is a God and he wants the best for us if only we follow the Golden Rule "Do unto others as you would…

This was taken from a post

Today the final doc**ent to allow the full emancipation of women in the Kingdom was signed and delivered. From today not only can women over the age of 18 drive cars - even without a male passenger, own property in their own name and wear any clothes allowed by the Koran but more importantly no person in the Kingdom will, in future, be subject to any form of Corporal Punishment. Even smacking in Schools has finally be abolished.
Freedom of speech is to be permitted for…

I don't remember where I first heard about ZOE International Ministries, possibly a speaker at my grandparents' church, but as I was looking for people/groups to shadow I came across their website.
It's pretty amazing what they're doing. Check it out!
http://zoechildren.org/Basically they're working to end the horrific practice of child trafficking and provide care for children who have been rescued from it.
I wrote them a little…

I was working in Cambodia with organization that fight against human trafficking. I doc**ented the stories of girls who were trafficked to the city or neighboring countries. I was part of the initiative of children's group fighting against trafficking. I helped them collecting case studies, making database to collect information about children who were trafficking. So they can help them after they return. There are also awareness raising activities regularly organized by children in the village…

Iran has lashed out at the West over human trafficking across the world, calling for the adoption of strict regulations to combat the inhumane activity.
"The ominous phenomenon of human trafficking, and women in particular, is an advanced form of modern slavery in the third millennium that has targeted all countries and regions of the world," said Iranian lawmaker Tayyebeh Safaei at the 122nd Assembly of… Continue

To be honest, she's not really a water hero, she's a human waste hero. Her book is so powerful and informative however that I must make a mention of it here as I think reading this book would benefit anybody concerned (or unconcerned) with helping to fix our world society.
Kudos to Rose George and her book The Big Necessity.

In 2020 I will hopefully working as a lobbyist in Washington, DC. In a perfect world I would actually get to participate in government as a state legislator, but unfortunately the political climate doesn't create spaces in which extremes can exist. Apparently human rights and social justice are too extreme for the US these days. Maybe in 2020...
Anyway, in my perfect world, I wouldn't have to lobby for human rights at all, but I don't think that this is realistic at all…

I just saw a photo by TJ Roshan on a human-powered dynamo. One that generates electricity by walking: http://www.urgentevoke.com/photo/human-dynamo-how-energy-from-1?xg_source=activity
This got me thinking... what if you could scale that idea back even further? A pedometer that generates electricty just by walking, through linear induction -- like a "shakey…
