Message of the week (4)

If anyone's been keeping up with these, you may have noticed that last "week" was a bit longer than the average seven day period. I've been busy with a lot of my own life issues recently.

Which is a good message: Take care of the small problems whenever you can. Don't let the "little things" build up, because they can get in the way of a larger project.

That said, even small decisions are important, so be sure to put effort into them. You never know what will be helpful…

Message of the week (3)

The destination may be important, but the journey is more so.

Every moment you spend walking, driving, or working towards some end goal is another moment you're alive. Try to enjoy this time, as you never know what moment will be the last. Every life is but a small spark in the deep dark of the universe, but all it takes is one spark to ignite a great blaze.

When my time comes, I hope to end it with a smile on my lips, a joke on my tongue; exactly the same way I…

Message of the Week (2)

I would like to encourage you all to know when you've been wrong, and admit it.

Arguments are usually based upon a misunderstanding between two or more people, and they often last longer than they should. They tear apart friendships, business deals, families... A big enough argument can ruin the most solid of foundations if it is taken too far.

Stand strong for what you believe in, but pick your battles, and know when to back down. You don't always know better, I don't always…

Message for the week (1)

When was the last time you went for a walk, just for fun? Went to a movie? Took a nice, hot bath?

It may seem silly, what with all of the problems other people have (that we're all trying to solve), but its good to take some time off for yourself every now and then. don't burn yourself out, because then you're no use to anyone untill you recover.

That's my message for the week: Relax. Don't stress.

Community Job Boards?

A random thought: What if we were to develop a local "bounty board" of sorts for communities?

I envision it as a place where people can post any kind of job, wether they're hiring for a position or just want someone to pet-sit for the weekend. Simply include the wage you're willing to pay, and a way you can be contacted.

If this were done, people like myself could find a new job quickly and efficiently, rather than running all over town searching. Anyone looking for a bit of…

Where the Knowledge Resides

Listen to the Right People.

That has to be the most important piece of advice I've ever heard.

If you need to buy/build new equipment for farmers, don't ask the company that makes the equipment, ask the farmers that work in the fields. They know how to do their job, and they know what they need to get it done. If you go through the equipment company, the middleman, you may get a view on the matter distorted by their needs and greeds as well. They want to make as much money as…

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

It is 7'oclock, I was late home from work due to an assignment that i wanted to get ahead on. By the time I get home I am feeling extremley tired and I cannot be bothered to make a proper meal. All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
