4th of July 2020

By bar my favorite holiday, the 4th of July! Load the car. The sun is out. Hit the road headed to the beach in my new fully electric car which I unplugged from my own power source created by activity that take place right in my home, along with solar & wind energy caught on my roof.

On the way to the beach the light poles all have wind turbines which capture the wind generated by the car that drive by. That energy is stored and will be used to light my way home in the…

Just Type P-O-W-E-R

How many people do you know who use a computer? The amount of computer users is growing everyday. There has got to be a way to harness the power of the computer user.

We've all heard the old computer with the pedals under the desk. Let's be real. Who is going to use that? When I sit down to use the computer, half of the experience is getting to relax a little bit while I let technology do what is does best.

But what is the one physical activity…

Street Light Powered by Wind (Pic)

I really like the idea I found here.

It actually looks cool, and makes a world of sense to me.

All day to gather up a charge, and still would gain power late at night from passing cars.

A back up for emergencies is a must of course. At least use this tech as a Hybrid option. I'm such a huge fan!

I was unable to find a cost on this tech, the problem I see here is that street lights are…

Dinner in 2020

In 2020 I'll be what I consider old! YIKES!

My daughter, still super young of course.

My wife, she will alway be a hot 21 year old in my book.

I'm sure my wife will be the one cooking dinner. I'm not much of a cook. Although, I hope to learn something in the next 10 years about cooking.

Already having plenty of organic foods available in the Portland Oregon area, I'd imagine that a good…

FarmVille Drought of 2010!!!

My Idea!!!

FarmVille, which if you haven't heard of because you were stuck in a cave for the last 2 years, is a Facebook application game!

Over 20% of all Facebook users have played this game, and that equals to be 1% of the wh*** world! I say that this is a great opportunity to cause a stir in the FarmVille world and get some viral attention to future food crisis.

My idea is to suddenly cause a drought in the game.…

When Only Money Stands in the Way

Living in the great Northwest it seems like food is everywhere. What really stands in the way is adequate amount of funding to deliver programs that can meet the challenges. Instability and short-term funding shows that the government undermines programs in this region.

Oregon State University has tried and continues to battle this with sustainable community food systems. The system concepts are:
-how food is grown
-how food is…

Life in 2020

Imagine your best-case scenario future. Where will you be living in 2020? What will you do with your days? How are you changing the world on a daily basis?

  • Imagine yourself exactly ten years from today
  • Tell a story about where you are, and what you're doing, when Alchemy calls YOU to help with the Tokyo food crisis.

My life in 10 yrs:

10 years from now I own multiple comanies and will be finding continued success in real estate. I will…

Jane McGonigal my HERO

I chose Jane McGonigal as my hero.

I found a fan page on Facebook, but it doesn't appear very active. I did add her as a friend and will await a response.

I was unable to find a twitter account or active blog.

Anyone who reads this, if you know of any ways to follow Jane better, I would be thankful if you pointed me in the right direction.

I will attempt to contact her if I can find a way to reach her directly. She is my newest hero…

Embracing Market Mechanisms Secret

Embrace market mechanisms (Giving stuff away rarely works as well as selling it.)

This was my favorite seceret. Having a background in sales and marketing this is very true from experience. I will share what I have learned with you.

All sales processes can be simplified into a few simple steps.Within these steps, you can find the solution to giving stuff away and how to sell better.

  • 1. Meet & Geet the consumer
  • 2. Land the…

Bartering & Food Value

While in college I co-found an online bartering site.

It was simple. List services and good you would like to trade/sell.

You could make a Wishlist of what you want as well.

If you had something you wanted to get rid of, you could search the master Wishlist to find someone that wants your item. Once you find a person that wants your item, you could search what they have to offer and then make an offer.

Offers would go back and forth…

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
