I have chosen to follow Becky Striepe who is trying to get using cloth napkins back into style to save the trees and keep our planet green. I started to shadow her on http://greenupgrader.com/author/becky/ and from there I have become a fan of her work on facebook on how to stay green at the kitchen table as well as other places in your house. Also I follow her on twitter with… Continue

Swine Flu

In my home, the state of New York, rather in the city we've had problems with the outbreak of swine flu. If I could partner with Ushahidi, then I could monitor this illness more closely so that New York could easily get a cure for this and this issue will never happen again. I could watch the news in the morning and after school, and I could read the newspaper daily, and I can look it up online. Then I could organize this information so I can be able to read it like a story that… Continue

Powering something in new ways

I discovered that if the microwaves didn't need radioactive waves then they can be powered with recyclable batteries that can be recycled to make the planet greener. On top of that, it saves electricity that can be used for those that need to power more important. Things like lamps and night lights, lavalamps, and portable fans can be powered by batteries you can recycle.

Innovation secrets

I chose this secret "Create “transparent” technologies, ones that are easily understood by the users, and promote local innovation." I like it because it was very easy to understand and this is a go green type of secret plus because you are the only one that can figure out your device there will never be a reason you to throw it out, keeping the planet greener.

Empowering Women

I'm learning more about violence against women right now, and in particular what I'm wondering is: "Are the situations where women are harmed being recognized and put to a stop?". I was researching this question online and this article caught my eye because the title was "tackling gender-based violence" so I figured it had a lot to do with ending violence against women.

"Here, the violence-affected woman or girl has

the chance to have her case be investigated – and perpetrators… Continue

Empowering South African women with HIV/AIDS

I have been to HIV/AIDS centers all over the New York City area, and so far they all have said the same thing. They all say that they need more money for research so as of now I am raising awareness of this disease because it seems that people have forgotten. Then I figure maybe people may want to donate enough money to figure this disease out. Nurses and doctors assure their patients that everything will be ok, but they cannot be certain that medicine will continue to keep them alive long… Continue

Life happens

It is a beautiful day outside I am in

New York, my desk phone keeps ringing for arrangements. It seems as if

I am the editor of a very popular newspaper. Many people come into my

office in the next fifteen minutes. I'm guessing this means my deadline

is coming really close. After a while, my secretary calls in that

someone is on line 2 for me. I thought to myself "Is this the call that…

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
