EVOKE Manifesto

The Evoke network is a dedicated group of individuals working towards a common purpose to create positive social change not only in our communities, but in the world. Every person involved is a change agent that creates solutions to solve the problems that we are dealing with on a daily basis.

2011 Flu

I would ask the teachers union in America to contact their students and their parents to inform them of the crisis and what they can do to combat it. Teachers have a connection to millions of people and are a source of knowledge that people will trust and listen to.

Year 2088

In the year 2088 I would like to pass on that we only have been given one environment so it is our job to preserve and protect it. We cannot trash our communities and our planet and expect that nothing negative will result from it. We must step up and do whatever is necessary to keep our planet as pure and beautiful as it has always been.

Local crisis

A local crisis in North Potomac, MD could be power outages. We have had a problem with power outages during every storm. This causes people to go without electricity for days at a time. When this happens during a winter snowstorm, people are without heat for a week at a time.
I would want to know how much electricity lines we have that are not underground. Moving all power lines underground would eliminate this problem.

What Happens Next

The next big challenge that the EVOKE network can try to tackle is equality among everyone, no matter what race or background you come from. It can start this in the US. Even though we are further along than most countries, there is still a lot of work to be done to improve. Every kid in school should do this to create change from a young age. I enjoyed using Urgent Evoke and becoming a change agent.

Five Secrets of Crisis Communication

The most important aspect of crisis communication is maintaining the public trust. Once you lose that, it will be extremely difficult to prevent people from panicking and losing control all together.

Indigenous Knowledge

I think the most important lesson is that when you give people a choice between two things, they will usually chose the better option. You have to give people a chance to show that they can make the right decisions.

Woman in Afghan Politics

The UN is pushing for more woman to be involved in the political scene of the Afghanistan. They want the woman to be meaningfully involved in the political process as that will continue to improve their government and political environment.

Venmo is an app that allow you to connect your phone to your bank account to make payments to your friends electronically. My roommates and I all downloaded Venmo and have been using it to pay each other for meals, groceries, etc. It has worked really well. The future of money will be more social than its ever been before.

Future of Money

I think the future of money is Bitcoin. Bitcoin uses peer-to-peer technology to operate with no central authority or banks; managing transactions and the issuing of bitcoins is carried out collectively by the network. Through many of its unique properties, Bitcoin allows exciting uses that could not be covered by any previous payment system.

Water Education in Schools

EcoSchools teaches students about how we can use water. They study the flow of water across their grounds and look for ways to improve water quality and infiltration. Schools seek to conserve water on their school grounds by: installing low-flow water fixtures in their bathrooms; using drip irrigation systems rather than conventional sprinklers; planting drought resistant "xeriscape" gardens; and capturing rainwater in cisterns and rain barrels for future use on school gardens, trees, and…

Every phone would have a small solar panel on it so that it would continue to charge every time you took it out of your pocket.

Future Dinner

I am at my house in Washington D.C. with some friends for dinner. Our food has been grown organically and was purchased at the local farmer's market. We all collaborated together to prepare our meal. The meal tastes much better than any cheap, gross fast food. We made a veggie and chicken dish.

Starting a Home Garden

I helped my friend start a home garden. We are growing multiple vegetables and herbs. He was extremely pleased with it and has decided to help one of his friends start a home garden as well.

Food Security

Food security is a growing problem all over the world, including North America. The USAID has an innovative solution called Feed The Future. This initiative's goal is to reduce by 20% the prevalence of poverty and by 20% the prevalence of stunted children under 5 years old. Additionally, the USAID is investing in the transformation of agricultural systems and nutritional outcomes. They are doing everything in their power to help the problem of food security.

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.

Where I will be in ten years.

Ten years from now I will be in a political job assisting with people in the midlands of South Carolina particularly the rural working class and farmers. As the class of people that feed the nation I find that it is imperative that we assist with making sure they produce as much food as possible. I would like to support local scientists as well that are leading in research on how to produce food more efficiently. I will also be participating in missions to foreign countries to help people with…See More
