In the future i believe there will be a lot of flooding all over the world. New York is not known to have a lot of major disasters so this would all be new to me, and many new yorkers. I would need to know how bad it would be, for example. Would it cover houses and schools and hospitals. For how long would it go on? Things like that would be very helpful for people to know. I would call, text do whatever i have to do. Over the years communication changes all the time so whatever is the most… Continue

Its the year 2020, im at dinner with my brother and cousin. Right now we are in a small garden at a table eating very interesting food. My brother found a seed that he has been planting for a couple of weeks, it turned out to be a tomatoe. Right now we are sharing 3 tomatoes and some fresh water that we have been working on for a while to make it pure. Food has been hard to come by nowadays, each day is a mystery but we will continue to search for new and different meals.

In the garden across the street from my school my class has been given permission to come over and plant things in the garden. Food, plants whatever we want to plant we can. I find this a easy way to grow food and go around the area giving out food to people who need it. Normally that would be a little backwards, usually food that is grown in a garden is sold to people. In this special case, I would just give it all out.

Over the weekend there was a walk in brooklyn that took place. The walk was to show that people from ny care about the water shortage around the world. I didnt get to make it to the walk because of some personal reasons but I am dedicated to the task and I do care about the problems that exists in the world.

We chose this organization Training the Trainers - AIDS Skills for Women, because this is teaching woman in Africa how to protect themselves from a serious desease. Woman all over the world should have a program like this to look up to because it can really help them out. My group and I know how serious AIDS is so of course we want to look at this like an outlet to help woman and show that we support this.

I have never used any unordinary way to pay for something. Always cash or a card. Of course i have traded items for other items with my friends and things like that but never at a store or when i really wanted to buy something. I dont think any idea will work to replace money with. People in the world are to money hungry and wont take anything but cash or credit.

In my community is see people, homeless people walking up and down streets asking for change or going around picking up bottles and cans to get money. I dont understand how people can allow themselves to get in such a predicament. I feel it is somewhat the governments fault because this country is one of the most powerful countires in the world, we spend billions of dollars on wars, why not use some of that money to get food for the homeless.

My idea is to go city to city, and outside of the country taking community's to water parks that i have rented out for the day. Have posters up saying save your community and work to get clean water. This way while they are having a good time at these water parks in the back of their minds they can be thinking, they are about to have no fresh water to cook with or bathe with etc. I feel this would be helpful and get a lot of people involved.

I have found someone who has been working on and electricity project for years for people in Brazil and in 2006, it all payed off. "In February 2008, Fabio Rosa (Rosa), a social entrepreneur based in Brazil, was awarded The Leapfrog Fund Award sponsored by The Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship and the Lemelson Foundation." This man was determined to help people in Brazil and get them the electricity they desparately needed, their lives were a nightmare before he came up with his… Continue

The secret i chose was Do the hard work needed to find a simple solution. I find this to be very true and something that i hear very often. Not just in school but everywhere, in sports, at home some one is always telling me to do my best and work hard at it so the solution can be easy. I find from experience that this is true most of the time, dont slack just work hard and everything pays off.

My favorite idea for the water issue is the school idea. I think the others are good as well but this one stood out the most because im still in school and i find t interesting what some schools are doing or planning to do. To take the time out and build things that catch the water to reuse for the school garden instead of just running into a gutter or river is a good idea. I also think the idea of lowering the water pressure in the sinks is a good idea, just as long as there's enough…

It is the year 2020, the date is november 24th. I am 28 years old. It is thanksgivings day and my entire family is together. We are celebrating early because now instead of regular electricity, our lights and music is controlled by the sunlight. Everything is solar controlled, this way much more electricity is being saved and its a different creative way of living. The only down side of this is, all of our events must begin early because once the sun goes down, our fun is over.

I pick stay positive. I think this is one of the best things to keep in mind. No matter what people should always think positive; and look at the glass half full instead of half empty. Someimes even I get bent out of shape about some things, but most of the time I try to let it roll off my back and think positive.

I am not very creative when it comes to things, im much more basic and keep things simple. My idea was to plug out chargers if im not using them to save power. I think the other ideas were good but somewhat complicated. For example the soccer ball idea, I would love to see how that electric ball can be used to light up an entire house. My idea is much less complicated and simple but its not as creative as the other two.

In the future

I see a lot of buildings, one of them happens to be the MSG. Its a big

gray and black building i hear a lot of noise coming from inside of it.

Its my team playing and Im late. I run to the court, my team is down 8.

My coach yells to me "COREY!, lets go your in. I hear the substitution

sound go off, and just like that im in the game. I see my opponents

size them up a little and i get ready to go. I want to put on a good

game and excite the fans anyway I can. There… Continue

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

It is 7'oclock, I was late home from work due to an assignment that i wanted to get ahead on. By the time I get home I am feeling extremley tired and I cannot be bothered to make a proper meal. I walk to the fridge and open it to see what there is for me to eat. All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
