ACT1

For my hero to follow, I decided to follow Geoff Mulgan. He is the Founder of Demos, an organization which brings individuals together to solve problems on a large scale. He is also Director of "The Young Foundation". The Young Foundation is an foundation which starts projects revolving around social innovation.

I picked Mr. Mulgan due to the fact that he sees the need for innovation in the Government. The need to bail out the big banks and auto industry is still being debated; But… Continue

IMAGINE1

In ten years, I will have completed my B.S. in Computer Science at UNC-Charlotte. I will be continuing my work with the North Carolina Baptist Men's Disaster Relief Feeding Unit. I hope that I will be traveling the country, not only visiting the "popular places", but truely seeing what America has to offer; being able to see and help those in need around me. I have been able to visit other countries, and learned a great deal about how lucky I am, but I truly wish to assist those in my… Continue

LEARN1

I feel that which could help ME change the world would be listening to the right people. So many people have stories and experiences that could help make a difference. So many people have stories from which you can learn. But what is just as important as those experiences is somebody taking those and learning from them. As corny as it may sound, it is those stories of "I walked 15 miles to school" that led to innovations in transportation. People had a problem, and people adapted. Commumication… Continue

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development.The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
